RE: #3 Media Day - Jeanious - 2026-08-17 Career task 2 Dennis van Huntelrooy has officially secured his first ever major sponsorship deal. Signing with Raid: Shadow Legends in what is believed to be one of the most unexpected commercial partnerships in Minors League history. The deal marks an important step for Dennis, with the aerial dominant attacker becoming the first footballer to join the ever growing list of people apparently deemed worthy of being sponsored by Raid: Shadow Legends. The terms of the agreement have not been fully disclosed although one condition has been confirmed by both parties. Whenever Dennis scores he will be contractually required to perform a specially choreographed Raid: Shadow Legends goal celebration. The celebration reportedly involves Dennis kneeling down, pretending to open an Ancient Shard (we do not know yet how this will work) and then striking a pose inspired by one of the game's featured champions that week before being allowed to do anything else, like returning to his half of the pitch. The celebration must be no shorter than ten seconds, meaning Dennis will have to commit fully to the celebration regardless of the match score, no half assing this one. Should he score multiple times in one match the contract states that the celebration must be performed after each goal. The sponsorship is expected to provide Dennis with additional "exposure" throughout the season. While Raid: Shadow Legends gains a footballing representative for its already long list of sponsored "influencers". Insider sources claim the company was particularly impressed by Dennis his potential to bring the game to an entirely new audience, people that watch football just a slight level above Sunday league football which is believed to be a hugely untapped market. Whether the sponsorship will be a net positive for any of the parties involved remains to be seen, perhaps Dennis will eventually find himself featured in the great game of Raid: Shadow Legends. But for now, Dennis has to practice a couple featured champion poses for his celebration. Approved! RE: #3 Media Day - GingerJLD - 2026-08-17 Career PT 2 Jimothy Erickson after having a rough beginning to his season but ending his season in regular play winning 3 out of 3 games with London and scoring 1 goal for them today has announced he has agreed to a sponsorship deal to very well known company ACME. While this company has yet to do anything with the great sport of Football they are very excited to have Jimothy as their first sponsor in the game. In there press release they say "After our lawsuit from Wil E. Coyote allegedly claiming our products are a scam and do not work in the intended way we want to show the world that this is not the case, Jimothy will be our light bearer and show our product lineup. We will be providing any gadget Jimothy needs to better his training and match experience. Although most of our gadgets our banned in the league due to the chance of mutilation and bodily harm we feel that Jimothy can make the most out of our legal products such as ACME Asprin to help with the pain of getting relegated, our ACME Water Pistol to help cool Jimothy down {checks notes} in rainy London during training, and our favorite product the ACME Instant Awakener to help with all the travel and jet lag issues Jimothy raves that this is his favorite item on our line." Later in a interview provided by Jimothy himself he said the following "ACME is paying me alot of money I am very happy to promote their EFFECTIVE products but Wil E. Coyote's lawsuit holds merit and we should see what the courts have to say about this, their is a clause in my sponsorship if Wil E. Coyote is found to be right my sponsorship with ACME will be voided and they will have to pay me an extra 100 million dollars. I am confident Wil E. Coyote's lawsuit will find ACME negligent because no where in the contract my agents and lawyers drafted said I couldn't bad mouth the company and they didn't read the void clause, I am also excited to announce I have a boot sponsor from Adidas I love the predators and they are always my go to boot!" RE: #3 Media Day - AustinP0027 - 2026-08-17 Link to Career Task 2 After establishing himself as one of the most dominant players in the SSL who only played half the game, Ignignokt finally received an offer worthy of a Mooninite. His agent sent him the request, a national corporate sponsorship from MoonPie. The partnership almost didn't happen. When MoonPie first contacted Ignignokt, he was more concerned about why an Earth company had been using the Moon's name without permission. He accused them of "interplanetary trademark infringement" and threatened to sue. Instead, the two sides worked something out, and Ignignokt became the newest face of MoonPie. The partnership launched with the slogan "Earth Made. Moon Approved." Ignignokt began appearing in national television commercials, digital advertisements, and MoonPie displays across the country. One commercial showed an opposing striker racing toward goal before Ignignokt effortlessly stepped in, stole the ball, and launched it back upfield. He turned toward the camera and explained that defending against Earthlings was "embarrassingly simple for a Mooninite." He then held up a MoonPie and declared it one of the few Earth inventions deserving of his approval. MoonPie also released a limited-edition Ignignokt MoonPie, featuring his pixelated green face on the wrapper. Fans attending select matches received special packages containing collectible Mooninite cards, while every clean sheet Ignignokt helped secure during the campaign triggered a MoonPie donation to local youth soccer programs. Of course, Ignignokt had a few demands of his own. He wanted a lifetime supply of MoonPies, official recognition as the superior Moon-based life form, and absolutely no involvement from Err. That last part didn't go so well. A few weeks into the sponsorship, Err was caught inside a MoonPie warehouse eating his way through Ignignokt's lifetime supply. Despite that setback, Ignignokt considers the sponsorship a success. MoonPie gets its new spokesman, Ignignokt gets paid, and people across Earth are buying a product with the Moon's name on it. In his own words, "Your planet may be primitive, but your snack cakes are acceptable." Approved! First, she was ending her first season in the minor leagues with the AF Masques Sacres, and the next thing she knew she was being traded to one of the two new organizations in the SSL, the new Ittihad Riada Casablanca team. If that wasn't enough, she actually had world-renowned brands reaching out wanting to sponsor her! She had many offers on the table, which was quite overwhelming for all that she had been going through lately, but her manager kept pushing her, telling her that "they weren't going to wait around forever". Saphira had wondered how true that statement actually was, but regardless, she sat down and started to look through them all. Pretty quickly in her search one company had stuck out to her. The company was named Jagex, and had been operation for around 30 years. That was already a lot longer than she had been alive, and although she wasn't familiar with the company, their years of operations had made her feel like they would be a good fit fer her. She flew out to meet the leaders of the company in between practices in Casablanca and quickly learned that she had pegged this company all wrong. She had assumed them to be cabinet makers, as Jagex was the name of the woodworkers in her home village. Apparently, this company was actually a video game company? Oh well, she came this far. Might as well see it through. Saphira and the man had a great time conversating about all things life, and he was actually a huge fan of hers from watching her play at Jakarta during her Academy season. He started to talk to her about the game his company created, Runescape, and told her the gist of the game. As soon as she heard him say "It even has dragons! Just like you," she was sold. This would be her first deal, she knew it was destined. As she stomped her foot into the ink to put it to paper, a butterfly flew past her nose. She sneezed, and a little jet of fire jumped out of her nostril and singed the contract on the upper edge. "How better than my first branding deal to be truly marked by a dragon," she laughed to herself as she flew away, back to Casablanca, and back to getting ready for next season. Approved! RE: #3 Media Day - anjro - 2026-08-18 CPT2 https://forum.simulationsoccer.com/showthread.php?tid=423&pid=105610#pid105610 Owen Goal's agent presented him with several diverse corporate sponsorship options. But with the caveat that he could only select one. This was because between football (American football) and football (soccer) he would only have enough time to support one major sponsorship at this time. His agent was able to help him pair down the options to two very different companies. The two companies were Durex and Target. In general, both had similar terms and expected financial benefit. Ultimately it would be up to their pitch and how well he liked each of the brands. Target's pitch had to do with always hitting the right target. The Durex pitch was: scoring where it matters, safe everywhere else. To Owen Goal, the pitches seemed comparable with Durex maybe slightly ahead. What really shifted the tide was Target's controversies revolving around rolling back DEI initiatives. Owen Goal being of Maldivian descent did not feel like his people were being well represented at Target. On the Durex side, he was a frequent user of their products which really resonated with him. Truth be told, he hoping to get a lifetime supply.. As a result, he chose the Durex partnership. What an amazing partnership it became. Their first collaboration based on that initial pitch was one of the most famous and impactful corporate sports sponsorships in history. Some say Owen Goal is the Michael Jordan of Durex. Durex named him their Head of Ball Control and Chief Protection Officer. When he was informed of those decisions, he immediately updated his LinkedIn to reflect his new roles. Their second collaboration was centered around the concept of being safe even when scoring in different goals. While this was not necessarily the intent, this campaign was especially popular with the LGBTQIAS2+ community. Through that popularity, Owen Goal became an ally for people in those communities and met some of his closest friends. To Owen Goal, this corporate partnership was really a perfect fit. Approved! RE: #3 Media Day - xyan - 2026-08-20 Career PT2: https://forum.simulationsoccer.com/showthread.php?tid=423&pid=105788#pid105788 S Sei was approached by a few executives in fine black suits, after leaving Jakarta facilities following his season there as academy manager. They took notice of his league media relating to Pokemon mascots for teams, along with his penchant for stylizing himself with related merchandise in his casual wear and within his personal interview space in the dorms for academy staff and players. They represent a team of collectors, themed with a large R as their logo. Their first meeting over traditional Japanese food for lunch went very well. Their pitch for sponsoring him even aligned with his new goal in personal skill development; growing on defense, which will help him control the whole field more. "As much as you steal possession on the field and control the game from all aspects to push your team to victory, you should be represented by the team that does that better than any other". Of course, there was a discussion that Team Rocket no longer operates on stealing Pokemon for evil, but instead for the sake of modeling, designing, and producing merchandise. Sei walked away from the meeting with a sleek set of black blazers with the bright blue R on the reverse side and pattern around it, along with sweat bands and shoes in those colors; each of these contained the name "Umbreon" in the empty space which along with the color showed off his favorite Pokemon in their branding. Future parts of the agreement include working with their executives and "employees" to improve the training and management processes, and designing new lines of sportswear and casual wear based on Sei's new style, Magyar with Noivern-inspired design, and Shanghai with Giratina-inspired design. He would also appear in commercial ads for them, along with staring in a music video that would have a group riding in a large Drifblim while the song re-imagines the original Team Rocket motto. This partnership would go on to be fruitful for both sides, and definitely not encourage any criminal activity. Approved! RE: #3 Media Day - Definia - 2026-08-20 CP #2 After the promotion play off game McGlynn was the last of the locker room to leave the stadium. He was approached by his agent and another person he never recognized. This person looked vaguely familiar to him put couldn't picture where until the man told Barry his name and where he worked and before the man could finish what he was saying Barry said "Bulkhead Games!", This man was the executive producer for the upcoming video game Wardogs! Barry reemembered seeing him on the Bulkhead youtube channel several times as he followed the development of the upcoming game that he couldn't wait to get his hands on! The man said he had heard of McGlynn being a fan of the game and wanted to offer a sponsorship to him to try and help promote their upcoming game Wardogs! Barry was buzzing! He got invited out to their HQ back in Derby, back in the UK and it was something he always dreamed of seeing. A building full of like minded people who love FPS games and want to make the game of their dreams! So they got to chatting as to how this sponsorship would work and he couldn't wait to get started. Helping be part of their playtesting, helping being a part of some development diary videos and also be a guest on their upcoming livestream shows devoted to FPS games called "The FPS Games Show!". With their announcement of their early access release date and a closed beta weekend, Barry was completely on board and over the moon with how the development and pure transparency of the devs had been in regards to potentially his future favourite game Wardogs. He had always had a side hobby of FPS games on PC and this was completely up his street and he was super excited to be offered the opportunity to play and also help test and develop the game! Approved! RE: #3 Media Day - nckkss - 2026-08-23 Career Task 2 Nick Kasak sat back in his designer armchair – it looked super comfortable, and it had been an absolute bargain! He had just put his phone down from his agent – the phone nestled so comfortably on this custom armrest, with inbuilt phone charger that meant he could come and go as he pleased. The agent had mentioned something about “corporate sponsorship”. The idea of that scared him a bit. He squidged down a bit onto his seat and set the recliner back to just the perfect amount. His brow furrowed – he just wanted to play football, but there was some truth that serious money could be made here. Plus serious savings! He picked his tablet up from its charging port in the arm rest – this chair seemed to have everything! He opened up his emails and saw the offers that were already coming in. Rolex had offered a relaxing spa weekend incorporating a trip to a showroom of his choice to pick out anything he wanted. He had no need for a watch really, they just got in the way. Ferrari’s email sounded so polite and lovely. A trip to the Ferrari factory in Maranello, as well as the use of any current road model during the course of the sponsorship deal. Sounded great, but did he still have his licence? He thinks he left it at his parents’ house back home. Probably down the back of the sofa or something. The sofa, of course. Next to his reclining armchair was a beautiful sofa in matching Italian Leather, complete with silent reclining, charging ports and even a hidden fridge! And all of that with 0% APR interest and nothing to pay until 2030. Only at DFS! 20% off most sale lines. Hurry while stocks last. Givenchy had also been in touch offering Nick the chance to be the face of their new perfume campaign, but it sounded terrifying – riding crocodiles into the sunset while a colliery Brass Band played Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA”. And what was the line – “Sometimes the risk is worth the reward - faire confiance un pet.” Something didn’t quite smell right about that one. He put down his tablet into the custom charging dock, instantly linking it to the television in the room so he could stream all his favourites from his ultra modern stylish sofa, that came in a range of colours and finishes. He realised he couldn’t just be coerced to talk about any old tat, it had to be the real deal. He wouldn’t be seen to sell out for just anyone. Approved! RE: #3 Media Day - Bloodless - 2026-08-25 CPT #2 Dante Von Wolfe. Striker. Athlete. Lazy Bum. During the offseason the Wolfe had been doing his usual routine, keeping up with practice, talking with friends, and pretty much just doing whatever he was told to in the moment. He'd gone home to Canada a couple times per his parents request, and even gotten a call from a suspicious number. Usually he would've been too lazy to be bothered with answering it, but after sliding his finger across the screen to decline the call ... they called back. This went on for a minute until he finally answered it, just to be shouted at by his agent. Oh yeah, he forgot he had one of those. He was pestered into setting up a meeting with the man, and a few days later his agent flew to Northern Canada and drove out to the cabin Dante was staying at for the week. "Dante ... you know you've gained popularity right? With your strong finish and the spotlight on Hollywood thanks to their Majors Division 1 Title people are paying even more attention to you!" Came the excited voice as the man sat down in a large chair which had moved from it's corner and was currently positioned across from the couch Dante was laying across. Dante sighed deeply as he laid across the couch, sprawled out. "Uhhh ... thanks I guess? So now what?" "This had lead to some companies contacting me in order to offer you sponsorship. This is your chance to make some great money kiddo!" The agent said excitedly whilst scrambling through his bag for some papers, before setting them down nice and neatly on the large oak table in between the two seats. Without moving his head Dante scanned the bolded text on the top of the contracts to see which companies were bothering to offer him a sponsorship. The first one was Tim Hortons and although they were offering him quite the lucrative deal, he instinctively brushed that one to the side. They do have a youth soccer program which would make sense why they'd sponsor a professional soccer athlete, but historically they stick to hockey thanks to the origins of their brand and the popularity of hockey within Canada. They weren't truly Canadian owned anymore either which was a knock on their brand, considering it used to be something they prided themselves on. No need to hitch himself to a brand that inconsistent. The second sponsorship was from Chess.com and whilst Dante loved chess, the vision for what they wanted from him and the lack of connection to physical sports entertainment made it a less likely option for Dante to choose. The third option however was the one which caught his interest the most. Steam. They apparently liked how it felt like Dante could do just about anything on the field, and compared it to their Customer Support Services. They were attempting to aggressively market their superior customer support as it was something everyone already loved, and building upon one's strengths is the trademark of a good business plan. Dante dropped the contract to the side and slumped back onto the couch with a huff as if he was deflating all at once. He looked up at his Agent who was clearly excited to be at this part of Wolf's career, where he was finally attracting the attention of companies looking to sponsor athletes. Not that Dante cared, as he swung his feet over the arm of the couch and shot a hand out to randomly grab one of the contracts. He picked up the Steam one. The Chess.Com one was actually pretty easy to, as it'd only take a day to participate in their tournament and then during the seasonal break he could record a small cameo video ... or so his Agent told him. To get him to be quiet he also accepted that one. Two weeks later he recorded a small ad with Steam where the game a kid was playing suddenly transformed into his reality, and the kid delivered the final game winning assist to Dante. At least, that was one part of it. The second portion of the ad was Dante calling Steam support because he wanted to score even more goals, and a Steam Support agent went through a montage of becoming a Professional Player just to deliver more assists to Dante. Both were fun ads, and he got a lot of positive reactions from teammates, friends, family, and fans. All's well that ends well. Approved! RE: #3 Media Day - Jack_Pow - 2026-08-26 Career Task 2 [Pending Grading] When I was first approached by one of the org’s management team about sponsorship, I assumed it would be something simple, like a sportswear or energy drink company or something. Instead, I was told that a national energy company was interested in working with me. I remember freezing. For those who don’t know my story, my dad had worked in the energy industry when we lived in Sweden. And it’s what killed him too. I’d spent so many years coming to terms with that, even turned it into something that pushed me to keep going. I wasn’t sure I wanted my name attached to anything like that. The company, I was told, was called Masoandro Energy. I knew nothing about them, other than regularly seeing their name splashed across various billboards and signs around the city. I, of course, refused the offer. Then my manager came and had a chat with me and said I really should hear what they’re proposing as I might be surprised. So the following day, I did, albeit with a lot of trepidation. They explained to me that they were a Malagasy renewable energy company. But they specialised in solar power and community projects, and were currently in the process of building solar farms all across the country. They said they were investing more in smaller local installations, with the goal being to bring reliable, renewable energy to places that had often struggled to have access to it. I soon realised this wasn’t what killed my dad. The rest of the meeting was fairly informal. We talked about my life back in the UK and Sweden, Madagascar, football, of course. Eventually, the conversation came back round to why they’d chosen me. They said they’d liked my story. But I didn’t just want to be sponsored by them because I had a sad story. But they weren’t interested in just that alone. They’d liked that I’d arrived here from somewhere completely different. They said I was someone who represented the next generation, and an idea that the future doesn’t have to look like the past. And it was that part I understood the most. I accepted the contract. Over the course of the next few weeks during the off-season, I spent time visiting their projects. I stood among rows and rows of solar panels stretched across the red earth. The morning sunlight reflecting off their surfaces. I thought again about my dad, but the old feelings I expected didn’t return. And what I felt now was hope. We can’t choose what happens to us, but we can choose what those things come to mean. For years energy had meant loss. Now standing beneath the Malagasy sun, it meant something else. It was a new day. Approved! |
