Ioannis was born to a farming family in the city nestled in the Northern part of Greece called Kastoria, and spent much of his younger years living on his families farm. Growing up on the farm had it’s challenges as he had many responsibilities placed on him as he grew older, being required to feed the livestock, primarily taking the sheep out to pasture, and ensuring that the farm was taken care of. Of course his family had electricity so every evening after he had completely a hard day out on the farm he would sit down and watch Athenai games hoping that one day he would be able to make it to the SSL.<br>Ioannis was given a soccer ball as a gift for his 6th birthday, and showed exceptional skill and determination when learning to dribble the ball, and would often find himself using his families livestock as living tools to improve his game. Ioannis would dribble the ball in between sheeps legs, and attempt to take shots at and old olive tree on the families property in an attempt to develop his accuracy and footwork skills. He already had great speed for his age, one could blame that on having to chase down rogue sheep every so often as they would occasional separate from the flock and if he lost even one he knew we was in serious trouble.<br>Noticing Ioannis skills his parents made a tough decision and allowed him to leave the farm life behind at the age of 10 and he move to the city of Thessaloniki where his aunt and uncle resided, as there was a solid youth soccer program in that city. Ioannis surprisingly excelled when playing in this league, and some could say he had an innate talent for the sport, to which he only had one goal, to one day be in the SSL and for his parents to be able to watch him play on the television.<br>Through playing in Thessaloniki, scouts began to notice his play, and he started making waves in the region, playing with and against players much older than him. The only child in the family, she was expected to carry on the family fishing business that had sat in her family for generations. Between the stresses of school and the pressure to take over eventually, she found refuge in soccer. Playing after school with her friends most days, Alexandra found a love for the game that others couldn’t quite match. Starting out as a striker originally for her school team, she decided to step into the net after the starting goalie couldn’t make the game vs Egilsstaðir. Despite giving up two goals to the far superior opponent, she knew immediately that she had found her true calling. After high school, Alexandra took the chance to move to the United States to pursue an education as well as continue her soccer career, much to her parents displeasure. She elected to play for the Purdue Boilermakers who took a chance on the unproven commodity that had all the upside in the world. Immediately showcasing electric playmaking abilities from the net, Alexandra found herself starting the first game of the season against rivals Ohio State, where she would post a clean sheet in a 1-0 win against them. Purdue would finish 3rd in the conference and would make a semi-finals appearance in the end of season championship tournament. Following a tragic incident where her father would no longer be able to run the fishing business a choice had to be made: sell the business or keep playing soccer. Despite her parents wishes, Alexandra refused to give up her dreams of football for a lifetime of cod and haddock fishing. This resulted in her being sent back to the United States and losing contact with her family back home, but allowed her to continue striving towards a career in soccer. Following another season of elite goaltending play which would see Purdue take the championship title, Alexandra would decide to go pro and play in the Simulation Soccer League for their upcoming second season, citing an interest in trying to prove her ability to be one of the best goalies in the entire world.<br><br><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span>

I already wrote an article on who I am and how I got here so I don't want this to be repetitive so I'll give you a bio on my game since I haven't done that yet.<br><br>I am a big, hard-nosed, physical, defending center back who cares far more about preventing goals than scoring them. We can win a game 4 - 1 but that one goal against is almost like a loss to me if it comes from a situation where I had the chance to prevent it but failed.<br><br>Tackling is a way of life to me. I read about tackling, I practice tackling, I watch tapes on tackling, I even dream about tackling. I was asked by coach Ford to focus more on other aspects of my game because my obsession with tackling wasn't healthy. After some convincing I decided he was right and started to round out my game more.<br><br>The four areas that I feel like I excel at are my previously mentioned tackling. Second is my strength. I pride myself on how strong I am and to have the ability to control an opponent is invaluable on the pitch. I spend a great deal of my time in the gym improving this aspect.<br><br>The next area is player marking. When my body needs rest, is when I spend time in the tape room watching my old games and other players game tapes. Looking for patterns and movement so I know how to defend better in different situations. Making sure I am in the right place on the field to use the tools I've spent countless hours developing is important.<br><br>And lastly, is heading. This kind of goes along with marking in that I want to be in the right place to do the right thing and working on getting up at the right time to make defensive headers is important to me. I know that this is also a skill that can be used on the offensive side of things and I am absolutely willing to do whatever my team needs of me but I train to prevent goals and that is why I work on my heading game so much.<br><br>I am looking forward to helping whatever team I can in the next season.<br><br>[ 375 words ]<br><br>ps - I know you wanted a bio of where I came from but I just did an article on that and figured I would change it up a little. “With the 19th selection in the 4th round of the 1st ever SSL draft, Tokyo S.C. select…Mike Rup”. A moment that will forever be stuck in the memory of the new Center-back in Tokyo. <br><br>An incredibly imposing figure on the soccer field standing a tall 6’6 & hefty 222 lbs, there’s not many in the league that can match his physicality on the field, especially airborne. Born in Brooklyn basketball was always the sport he played the most as a kid. 360 and windmill dunks by the age of 16, his local community always figured he’d be a sure thing to make it to the pros. Putting up gaudy numbers on the court while dominating as a tight end in football during the fall, his true passion of soccer was put to the wayside..at least for the time being. <br><br>After his junior year of high school, he received several offers to go to camps around the country. An opportunity he couldn’t turn down since his family wasn’t really able to afford traveling around during his childhood. This is where he had a harsh sense of reality kick in. Not physical enough for football, just not quite tall or athletic enough for basketball. He struggled to make any type of impact among the top tier athletes and talents around the country, finishing in the bottom tier at almost every camp he attended. While he still received plenty of scholarships from lower level division one schools, the desire to play just wasn’t there anymore. It wasn’t HIS dream to make it to the NBA or NFL, but those of his close friends and family, who would do anything to come close to some of those riches a professional NBA or NFL athlete benefits from. <br><br>After struggling to decide out what to do with his life now, he enrolled in the local community college just to give himself some time to figure it out. His met up with some transfer students from England who would go down to the local pub for every Liverpool game. He was finally able to watch his favorite team every week, with no ridicule, right as Virgil van Dijk took the premier league by storm. Inspired by the dominance of a defender in the top league in the world, Rup knew what he had to do. He had to chase HIS dream, not anyone else’s; to be a professional soccer player. <br><br>Over a decade behind the 8 ball in regards to training & skill development, Rup knew he would have to work extremely hard to be given a shot. Sky Ryze desperately hoped to find a future in basketball. After all, being blessed with his family’s genetics of not only having the height but also the leaping ability made dunking the basketball a form of warm ups for any sort of physical activity. Yet despite the youngest Ryze’s best effort to earn the attention of scouts for college programs in the United States, many of which coming specifically because of his family name, none saw the same upside that the rest of his brothers and sisters demonstrated in their highly decorated careers. The feedback was all the same:<br><br>“Great size but…”<br>“Love his jumping ability but if only…” <br>“Not afraid to get physical!..except…” <br><br>“Hands of stone”<br><br>That was the nicest way that anybody has described Sky Ryze’s ability to handle the ball. Unfortunately while the rest of his more talented family members were not only able to use their height, but also demonstrate great technical skill with manueving, dribbling and passing. There were rare moments that Sky showed glimpses and small instances of having the same when a poor pass or deflected ball ended up around his chest but the moment any of his extremities came into contact with the ball, any signs of deft touches immediately vanished. <br><br>This frustration of being constantly compared, having astronomical expectations and all of it , combined with Sky’s enjoyment of the physicality of the game finally boiled over in an incident when Sky was touring Europe in an effort to find a fresh start. His uncontrolled explosion led to an accident in which he completely bowled over a defender in an attempt to be as direct to the basket as possible. Immediately after being fouled out and being told by the manager to pack his bags, Ryze found himself aimlessly wandering. Until suddenly a football sent wildly in the air found its way towards his head…Only catching a glimpse of both the ball and the accidental culprit from the corner of his eye, Sky immediately headed the ball back without even considering how far it was. Nearly shocking the onlookers with its ferocity, the crowd of varsity players gathered around asking if he was a professional footballer, his secrets to that header and other nonstop questions. <br><br>Completely bewildered by the attention he was coaxed into demonstrating it again, as he was fed higher and higher crosses which he accurately and powerfully directed into the net. Xabi Akenfenwa was born to a gypsie peddlar in northern Rostov. While he never met his father, his mother once told him that it was a car salesman called Francois. He started out as a goalkeeper but the kids made fun of him for being unable to touch the crossbar and taking up 2/3 of the goal. So he became determined to lose weight and swapped to a center back role. Several years later, upon entering Rostov Primary School for Special Youngsters, he was spotted by a coach for rival academy Rostove Special Academy for Primary Youngsters, and initiated a transfer at his bequest to play for him. It was always Xabi's dream to play for a local school after all.<br><br>Fast forward to his final year at the academy, he began getting calls from Ligue 2 sides to see if he would be interested in signing a provisional contract with them. He said yes, because he wanted free food and to play more footy. He eventually settled on Auxerre, where he was told by the manager that his skillset was far too attacking to remain at CB. He began training with the central midfielders and modeling his game after his namesake, Xabi Alonso, and the refined maestro Pirlo. Eventually he became so proficient at passing, he began to get starting minutes and full local cup games for his side.<br><br>Fast forward 4 years, as a growing pro he began garnering attention from a new league that was being formed called the Simulation Soccer League. Confusing, because Simulation is a bookable offence, right? Anyways, they pay well and he was told that he needed to improve his literacy and write well in order to get a spot on a team. With Auxerre struggling to pay the bills, he had only one choice: Write a quick autobiography for the clubs to read before they reached out to him to offer him free food and money.<br><br>Xabi is looking forward to the new adventure awaiting him in this fabled league where anything can happen.<br><br><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span>

Guillaume-Olivier Aubuchon-Touchette was born to Océane Aubuchon and Philibert Touchette in Lyon, France, on a somber and rainy morning in September. As most French people are, the young G.O.A.T.’s parents were huge fans of all the good things in life: cheese, wine, the Eiffel Tower, and most importantly, football (or how they pronounce it in true French fashion, foote-bolle) – the most popular sport in the world which only a few wacky countries have decided to call “soccer” and call another sport “football”, a sport which when you think of it should really be called “egg-hand”.<br><br>Despite being confused at this from a very young age, the young G.O.A.T. fell in love with the sport immediately. He doesn’t even remember it, but that love started the moment he saw his father jump in the air as France won the SIFA World Cup. He was sitting in his mother’s lap and she was crying with joy, but only half as much as his father.<br><br>G.O.A.T. could kick a ball before he was properly potty-trained. He spent his entire days training, day in and day out, with and without the ball. When he was very young, G.O.A.T. always played as a striker because like most kids he loved scoring goals and cellying way too hard. <br><br>As he grew older, however, things started to be more complicated. He was still scoring goals, but not as much as he used to, and more importantly not enough to help his team win. He started getting angry and cussing at his teammates a lot when they made defensive mistakes: “PUTAIN DE BORDEL DE MERDE DE CONNARD DE MES DEUX NON MAIS T’AS LES DEUX JAMBES FAITES EN POIL DE CUL OU QUOI?”. <br><br>These are not very nice words to say to a teammate. The teammate said in the most uninterested way: “Je m’en bats les couilles, fais-le toi si tu penses être meilleur." After being told to just do the defensive job himself like that if he’s so good, G.O.A.T. took him up on the challenge, He immediately took his role as Defensive Midfielder and worked up his way through the system as a cornerstone of any defensive formation, the pivot between the offense and defense.<br><br><span style='color:blue'>APPROVED</span>

As previously mentioned in another article, Laurent Gourcuff is the nephew of former french international Yoann Gourcuff. He grew up playing on the western coast of France. It was very obvious for anyone following the young attacking midfielder that he did everything in his power to emulate the playstyle of his uncle. The vision, the passing, the first touch. He would sit down in front of the television every time Yoann played, or on the rare occasion he played in the nearby city of Lorient, go see him live. Laurent would study his uncles every move in hopes of being able to put on the number 10 shirt and do the same.<br><br>And he managed to be very successful doing so in his younger years. That is, until a coach of him got angry with his lazyness.<br>"Laurent, you can't keep doing this. You need to work hard, all the time, <i>especially</i> when not in possession of the ball."<br>But Laurent didn't keep fighting. He just kept doing the same things, racking up the assists and the goals playing behind the strikers.<br><br>At 16 he joined FC Lorient and their youth academy but he didn't last very long there. They reiterated the same things that his previous youth coach had told him. "If you aren't working hard, there is really no spot for you here". He had been watching his uncle do the same things he did years prior when he won France footballer of the year. And now they come here and act as if you can't play football that way? Laurent decided to prove them all wrong.<br><br>Laurent Gourcuff started working harder at honing his skills like he never has before. More precise passing, more precise dribbling. More focus in every situation and facet of the game. A scout described it the best: "Never in my years of football have I ever seen player work so hard and focused just to work less on the pitch." Despite leaving FC Lorient, he found himself in the academy of Nantes now flourishing. He was on the brink of making his debut for the mens team when the coach promptly decided on not giving him a shot, citing his lack of work ethic on the pitch.<br><br>He now finds himself on the brink of playing a ton of football. He has recently vowed to join the newly created SSL, and the interest for the advanced playmaker is big. Tim Possible is a Mexican superstar stunt man and savior of the world. Or so he thinks anyway. He is a man that stars in action movies about spies and saving the world but he is too far gone to realize that this is just not real and he is only acting this all out. He does not realize that all the enemies he defeats are just letting him win. Basically think like Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story not believing he is actually a toy. Well, this is Tim Possible in real life. In fact, I would say that he is a lot worse. You see, Buzz was not causing anyone harm, Tim Possible is delusional and seems to think that he can take anyone on which leads to him getting into accidents when people do not play along with his persona. So for example, he once tried to mess with a wrestler and baseball star in the Pro Baseball Experience, Bobby Roode and all that happened was him getting his butt kicked and slammed through a table. Of course, Tim Possible recovered quickly as he believes it is his super human power to do so. In reality, it is just the adrenaline blocking out the pain. Now he comes in the Sim Soccer League as a challenge to himself and to the rest of the world. He got called out on Twitter one time by a hater saying that Tim Possible is a phony and that he is such a fake that he would not be able to cut in an athletic field. So what did Tim Possible go ahead and do? Of course! He chose to prove the doubters wrong and is now out to prove that he can hang with the athletes and not just terrorists around the world trying to destroy the universe. He chose left back as his position when signing up as he believes that defense is the best form of offense. His favorite quote is "Make Love Not War" by John Lennon, however this man just beats the crap out of anyone and everyone so it is not like he is following his own advice. Owen Forty Four is now not only in Sim Soccer League but also World Sim Basketball League since I need a good collection of seasons for his story and since the other engine is ass and I know FM can be quite good fun so why not try this out. I am mainly here because the user called Pau Adrian and Aneeq, 2 of my good friends wanted to do this.league and whilst Grass Roots Sim League went god awful I will happily try this again and see how it goes.<br><br>It is way easier for it to earn so I am here to make Owen best as I possibly can. He is just exactly like the rest of my cultist characters too. With Jon Forty One, Laszlo Forty Two, Jose Forty Three and a few others who are my sport cultist character I look forward to writing this story as it goes as well. I have no idea how this will go but that is the appeal.<br><br>I guess I will see where I will go but I have great talent in the core stats in being a forward and whilst I know 1 team will not be drafting me due to having too many forwards but that is okay since other team talks have gone well and Owen is looking forward to just seeing where he can build a new life in. Some pretty interesting countries for sure available too.<br><br>I am looking forward to seeing my team mates and seeing how they react to Owen Forty Fours personality of just being hype 24/7. No really he gets hyped about a lot of stuff. Winning a game, scoring a goal, eating an apple, locking the door, etc. You name it, pure hype. He was in World Sim Basketball League and nothing about this place will change that. Pure hype can be great fun but we will have to see how that goes. He is not an evil or abusive dude like Jon or Laszlo and is all about the team. Usually just based in passing but for this league we are going pure scoring and making sure he can finish any shot that he faces.
