As Voda approaches his 8th season in Shanghai Dragons, the only club he has ever known in his professional career ever since he graduated from the Istanbul FK academy, he reflects upon the seasons past. For the first time in a long a time, there is a sort of calmness that he has not experienced in a long time.
It is a strange time that these emotions have decided to appear that. Losing the most prestigious title of them all in the narrowest of margins, relegated to Division 2 the season after. By all means, it is by far one of the lowest points of Voda's career, when it should be his highest. A bright superstar for the future, having achieved nothing of note. No title, no team of the season, nothing.
However, as the start of the Division 2 matches comes close, Voda comes back to the training fields with a realisation. He sees infront of him his many friends, the community he has helped built. People he helped change, people that helped him change.
What was Voda's dream all along? Did he have any? Were his goals merely dreams set upon him by others who saw him as someone who could grow up to be what they themselves always aspired to be?
These type of questions are ones which rarely anyone can truly find an answer for in their life, Voda being one of them.
However, dreams are neither static nor in complete unison within themselves. What dreams Voda may have thought he had or maybe still has, one thing is for certain. His dream is to live, truthful to himself, trusting himself that no matter what obstacle may come upon his path, that he can find a way to overcome. His dream is to be able to help others to thrive, be in the company of the ones they love, to defeat the demons which every person at some point in the live has to live with inside their hearts.
Has Voda been able to achieve his dreams and goals? Well, a lot of them are still missing, some may never happen after all. However, Voda will step into his first Division 2 match with the knowledge that he has achieved what is perhaps the biggest dream and goal that he never realised he had before: eternal bonds with the people around him.

I am about to begin S27, coming off the back of successful S26 Major Division 1 campaign at CD Tenochtitlan. Successful in that on the final day of the season, we could have finished 2nd, but a last-minute goal meant we could only secure a draw and finish 2nd… bottom. Such is the fragility of small leagues and similar strength teams. A cup run saw us crash out in the semis after our tactics were not implemented by the powers that be. Smells like FIFA at SSL HQ sometimes.
With only 1 major trophy to my name, the SSL Cup, I will only consider my career a success if I win a D1 league title. This is not a lofty goal, although the inactivity of our wing-back Jonny Elliot meant he was traded away, and Dom Patterson may keep his focuses elsewhere too, putting additional pressure on Roger Roger to score goals. I fear my eventual regression with old age may come too soon for our rising stars to reach their peak. On the other hand, it may just all fall into place nicely to see us write our names in the history books again.
When I regress too far, I am more than happy to re-enter the Krung Thep locker room, as I have unfinished business there. I barely got going before I was catapulted into the Majors at Tenochtitlan. I’d love nothing more than to help the youth earn their stripes in the Minors, and either get us into or maintain our status as a regular D1 team. Who knows, a fairytale cup run could be on the cards. In any case, to finish my career as a one-organisation man, it is an honour to produce some great career statistics for the organisation and selfless manager Andre Caetano.

Andre Caetano has been a one organization man. Andre Caetano plans to remain such.
Andre is a cup winner, tasting the euphoria of success during the S23 season. He almost repeated the feat in S24, falling in the cup finals to Xelaju Cosmico while suffering the ignominy of relegation. Club Deportivo Tenochtitlan quickly rose back in "yo-yo" fashion and will push for greater heights in the S27 season. The Majors outfit has a league title in their sights.
But to get there, a lot has to go right. The organization traded for key talent, with a squad full of veterans. Many are pining for the prize of a Division 1 title. If they falter, it would not be a result of complacency of a lack of hunger. It would be a lack of title-challenging experience and the stalwarts standing in their way.
Shanghai. Hollywood. Reykjavik. Uniao Sao Paulo.
The Technoclan has the higher average TPE in the league, but have a number of expiring contracts. There is a pressure of this likely being a "last ride" for the full group together. The salary gap has gone from a faraway concept to a real life boogeyman. The club does not have a single penny of room for this season, and next season there will be several league-mandated pay increases. Andre Caetano stands next to the captains, James Asprey and Tonto Tut, and the tertiary captain Mazeed al-Kazmi. The quartet of them will have to keep tempers from fraying and the squad firmly on the path to the greatest prize in the league. To lift it, before they find themselves in the colors of a different team.
Andre Caetano and Tonto Tut know their next steps are likely Krung Thep Football Club. The Thai-based outfit is a consistent Minors Division 1 team, and finished second place last season behind runaway winners AS Paris. Perhaps they can achieve the Sisyphean task of winning the Majors and Minors Division 1 titles back to back? Who knows, strange things have happened.

Anybody who has been following Sandro’s regular YouTube vlog posts that he makes for his fans knows how he got to where he is today. Hard work, faith, family, and joga bonito.
Sandro started his career in small academy sides around Northeast Brazil before being noticed by a Sydney FC scout when he scored 5 and assisted another 4 in a youth match. They were intrigued enough to offer him a deal to move to the other side of the world and play for Sydney. After a season in Sydney, he did enough to catch the eye of several SSL managers and ended up going at the very end of the first round to the CD Tenochtitlan and Krung Thep organization. At first he was skeptical about playing outside of his comfort zone in Southeast Asia and Central America, but after getting to know the city of Bangkok, Sandro realized that it wasn’t so different from home, and neither was Mexico Coty it would later turn out.
His first and only season at Krung Thep was electric. He was in fine form for the entire season and made the minors team of the year. At this point, teams that had passed on him out of Sydney were beginning to realize they mistake they’d made.
The next season Sandro would be given a call up to the majors with CDT, and the rest, as they would say, is history. Sandro has spent all but one season with CDT in the top division. He started his career slowly, which is far from surprising and began a steady ascent to the highest echelons of the game. However, his play has fallen off a cliff in the last two seasons, and it will take a monumental effort to get back to where he was at his peak.
Thus far the pinnacle of Sandro’s career has been playing for the World Championship while representing his home continent of South America. While the result wasn’t so great, Sandro expects to represent them again and make amends when he gets another chance. Through it all Sandro has remained faithful to his roots, humble, and grounded. He is entering the point in his career where he is ready to mentor younger players, but those are few and far between on CDT this season.

#7 Navigating the Off-Season
Liz has had a long road before this point, grinding from the early days of the Manchester Roses. At this point, she has survived a grueling career, from the dense jungles of Colombia to the humid, unforgiving climate and wildlife of Thailand. Now she is beginning to hit her prime, not only on the international stage as a football star, but also as an actress after landing the titular role of the Doctor in Doctor Who. She finally started to hit her stride on the international stage, especially during her time at Krung Thep and CD Tenochtitlan. During her time with Krung Thep, she learned to be less reliant on herself and became more of a team player, something that she didn't learn about during her time with Manchester or Medlin. When she was finally called up to CD Tenochtitlan, she started to hit her stride, despite the first year being a down year for Tenochtitlan, which would see the club relegated to Division 2. She led the team in goals during the lone season that Tenochtitlan was in Division 2, which saw the club return to the top division. Liz only has a few goals left in her career, the first of which is to win the SSL Cup and be on top of the division one standings at least once. She is determined to do anything to bring a championship to CD Tenochtitlan before her career is up. Liz is getting closer to her dream of becoming an international superstar in football, but has yet to play in the WSFC because she wasn't named as part of the British Isles roster, something she hopes to achieve before she hangs up her cleats. Elizabeth Rose Flame is close to the summit of her career, but she needs to slow down and focus on the goals that matter to her the most. (312 words)

Up until now Ryan has been an one organization man, Only having played for Inter London and A.C. Romana. And of course not forgetting his time in the academy with Sydney City.
Ryan’s career has been one most journalists would probably describe as ‘mediocre’. Especially for someone who showed so much promise in both his academy and his rookie season, his time with A.C. Romana was mostly just average, ‘Mid’ as the younglings on *insert off-brand twitter here* would describe it. He was getting a few goals and assists, but no spectacular stats for a player of his supposed quality, being one of the top players of his class.
So far Ryan’s only ‘real’ career highlight has been the past season, where he had his best season in his career, being crucial in Romana’s title challenge, and eventual promotion after finishing 2nd and beating Catalunya in the play-off’s.
And dreams of one day lifting the division 1 trophy, and he will give everything he has until he does. And if that trophy lift is with Romana is another question.
When Ryan looks back at his career up until now, he knows things could and probably should have gone differently. He had shown that he had talent in the academy, and also in his rookie season, but never really turned said talent into consistent performances. There were plenty of seasons where he felt like he could have done more.
Now, with Romana back in division 1 where they belong, Ryan has the chance to show that he belongs there. He knows the competition will be harder, and that his best season so far will not be enough.
But he is not finished yet. The division 1 trophy is still waiting, and Ryan plans to do everything he can to get it.

Snor Lax’s professional career began where all SSL players careers begin. In the Academy. The S20 Academy was a special class of goalkeepers. At the time, four of the goalkeepers were in the top 5 in TPE for the draft class. This was unusual to say the least but enjoyable. It was a fun introduction to the league and to win the informal Academy title in the last game of the season was special for Lax. It gave him the taste of winning.
Lax entered the draft with high expectations. Being the highest earning in the class but in a less desirable position meant there was a little bit of unknown where he would land. Lax was picked 11th overall with the second last pick of the draft. Not a bad spot to be picked at all but what surprised his agent, was that he was last picked out of the four top-level goalkeepers in his class. This put a chip on his shoulder. The good news was he was picked by Shanghai. A great organization that was on the rise. Lax’s time in Shanghai was short lived but was thoroughly enjoyed. It is no doubt one of the best organizations in the league. Lax knew he would be exposed in the draft given the goalkeeper ahead of him in the Shanghai system. No hard feelings.
Lax was left exposed in the expansion draft and knew he’d be taken. Given who the managers were for both expansion teams, his agent knew once he was exposed that he would be gone. It didn’t take long for Lax’s name to be called during the expansion draft as he went first overall. That sent him to Liffeyside.
Going to Liffeyside was an exciting time. Being part of a new expansion team was both exciting and filled with the unknown. Some expansion teams come out of it well off and others take seasons upon seasons to develop. Liffey has done a really good job of slowly building momentum. Lax has been an integral part of the club thus far and has been invested in trying to bring a division 1 majors championship to the club. That’s the goal. Help bring a championship to Liffeyside.

With her speed, skills on the pitch, cute look, and a passion for the game, Allie Bunson was a hot prospect coming out of the academy, pun fully intended. In her draft, she went off the board early, going second overall, with Shanghai admitting if they had the first pick she still would have been their top choice. The Scorbunny from Postwick has been in the Shanghai organization her entire career, becoming a face of the once fresh club. She also has consistently been a top earner in TPE for her class, only being behind goaltender, fellow PokeFriend, and former teammate Snor Lax, she has lived up to those expectations.
Beginning in Rapid Magyar, she was initially a Right Wing Back, and in her second season was one of the top players in interceptions, mixing it with great playmaking. But owing to another talented wingback at the Majors level, and a career threatening injury to Billy Bob, the team asked if she would switch to central midfield. After mulling it over, she accepted. One season later, she got the call up.
She had some adjustment to the top level, and after initially being a favourite for the Majors Trophy (after finishing 2nd the season prior) faced a bitter relegation. But what it did was light a fire under the team who not just won instant promotion the next year, but Bunson herself had a career year, being played on the team of the season and surprising fans with an extra goal scoring touch. Shanghai also finished runner up in the SSL Cup, though suffered a brutal loss to powerhouse USP.
As she approaches her "peak" before power creep begins to "nerf her," her goals are clear. First: A Trophy. Whether the Majors Division 1 Trophy, the SSL cup, she wants Shanghai to get their first top level Trophy, no asterisk attached. Second: She wants to get team of the season again in her career, ideally Majors division one, and show she's a top level player. Finally, get back to the World Cup and this time BE A REGULAR STARTER AND NOT RIDE THE FUCKING BENCH! SHE HAS EARNED IT DANGIT!
