Fry finds an offramp - CuriousShadow - 2026-06-28

Last week was pretty exciting, Fry not finding the offramp to the stadium.  Fortunately, Fry's clone was available to cover while he was gone.  Despite this, and despite Roberto's efforts, Cataluna has carried forward.  The current standing is 2-0, which is shockingly good.  The open play key passes, tackles, and other statistics are very poor.  Fry regrets his poor performance so far, but his team stands top of the standings.  Odd!

In any case.  Fry is doing well enough ta Defensive Midfield.  This is not to say that he's happy with it, and in fact he took last match off to let his clone take over.  That said, Fry is still doing well at being a Defensive Midfielder.  Crossing and Corner Kicks were both erased from his memory.  Going forward he will need what... Tackling?  Marking?  some other skills?  None of those things have been clearly conveyed by the coaches.  There was some muttering about Jumping Reach, but clearly that's not right.

So... Defensive positioning, better tackling, better marking - these are probably the way.  Other options?  Dubious.  Fry has never been much of a jumper, and it seems inconsistent to try to make him a jumping phenomenon at this point.
