Minors league (1 & 2) playmaking statistics - Jeanious - 2026-07-03

These are the statistics after 4 matches played. I don't have time to write an article tomorrow (Saturday) after the fifth game is played, sadly..
I have also somehow broken the passing impact model so none of that either.

After making the screenshots of my graphs I've noticed that they have changed as well, they are really long boys now.. I am not sure if I did something wrong or if something changed out of my control.
Lots to fix, hopefully done for the next article.

Average rating
The average rating table is very competitive with only 0.74 separating first place from tenth. Rather than one player pulling clear of the field the rankings is packed with consistently high performers so far. Even the smallest swing in form could result in several places gained or lost. So far the distribution rewards week to week reliability as much as standout individual performances.

Silver Tarandus edges the top spot with an 8.62 only just ahead of Ozzy Trent Kovács on 8.6. With a gap of just 0.02 the race for the highest average rating couldn't be closer. Jay Cue Jr. claims third on 8.32 followed closely by Bob Berendsen on 8.3. Ensuring the leading group remains closely together.
Just behind them sits Scat Cat with an 8.25. After this the ratings dip slightly to Hans Grudnar on 8.05. Jack Pow is the last player to reach the 8.0 mark exactly. This shows us that we have some high and consistent performers in the divisions this year.

The rest of the top ten is separated by literal fractions of a point. Nico Lam records 7.97, Eden Empire IV follows on 7.92 and Saphira Brightscales rounds out the top ten with an 7.88 rating.

What makes this table interesting is how little separates the entire group. A single exceptional performance or one disappointing performance would be enough to reshuffle several positions, making average rating one of the most competitive leaderboards we have in the league so far despite the consistently high standard across the top ten.

Dribbles
The dribbling leaderboard is defined by a tightly grouped top end with very little separating the league's most adventurous and skillful ball carriers. Rather than one player dominating the statistic several names have established themselves as consistent outlets for progressing with the ball at their feet. Creating a leaderboard where every successful dribble could change the overall standings.

Three players share top spot with 14 successful dribbles. Bad Wolf, Otto Rocket and Bob Berendsen. Each demonstrating an ability to beat defenders with silky smooth dribbling(I assume) and drive their team forward.
Just behind the leading trio is Scorp E. Unshark on 13 keeping himself within touching distance of the top three. STAR SCREAM follows with 12 while Jack Pow records 11. Making it six players separated by only three successful dribbles.

The remainder of the top ten is just as close. Greg Evil, Don Lorenzo, Eden Empire IV and Sadie Black all finish on 10. Showing just how competitive this category is beyond the leading group.

One of interesting aspects of this table is the lack of a real runaway leader this far. One good game for anyone in the top could have you becoming first.

xA (Expected Assists)
The expected assists table is one of the closest so far with the top ten separated by just over one expected assist. Unlike we had for goals, there is no one dominat creator in the league so far. Instead, the leaderboard is populated by players giving a steady stream of high quality chances, with only small differences separating each position.

Jay Cue Jr. leads the way with 3.06 xA but only just. Alex Peña sits a fraction behind on 2.95 while Saphira Brightscales follows closely with 2.90. Making this a three way battle at the top where the margins are almost negligible.
The next group begins with Sadie Black on 2.51 just ahead of Saba Kvekvetsia at 2.30. Bob Berendsen and Nico Lam continue the tightly grouped trend with 2.24 and 2.19 respectively. Showing us just how competitive the playmaking race is this season.

The final three places are occupied by Blaise N'Kufo (2.09), Nick Kasak (2.08) and Matt Stro (2.05). Even here the separation is almost non existent. Just 0.04 xA covering eighth through tenth.

Attempted passes
The attempted passes leaderboard is dominated by players who serve as the first point of their team's buildup play. These are the players who see the ball most often and are always involved in recycling possession. While the top of the table is closely contested, there is a gradual decline through the remainder of the top ten.

Justin Fern is first with 282 attempted passes edging out Aren fjord by a SINGULAR pass.
A small step down follows where Monkey Buccaneer and Resetti Moretti share third place on 251. Their identical totals place them comfortably ahead of the chasing group while still being right behind the top two.

Rokuv Gibraltar ranks fifth with 237 attempted passes followed by Austin Morley and Jakob Fensterhausen. They both record 233. The table continues to tighten towards the bottom with Louie Duck on 229, Matt Oopsie Wrongsport Turk on 228 and Damian DeSoto completing the top ten with 223.

One interesting point is how close some players are to eachother, with multiple identical passess attempted. From fifth to tenth only 14 passes separate six different players. Showing several teams rely on a similar possession structure where responsibility is shared among their primary distributors.

Successful passes
The successful passes leaderboard mirrors many of the names from attempted passes but it rewards efficiency as much as involvement. The players at the top are not simply seeing plenty of the ball but they are retaining possession and consistently finding teammates, as opposed to only hooving the ball up high and hoping for the best. The distribution remains competitive throughout with no runaway leader despite the high passing volumes.

Aren fjord tops the rankings with 269 successful passes, overtaking Justin Fern who was the top in attempted passess, who records 255. While Justin attempted the most passes overall, Aren converts his involvement into the highest completed total.
Third and fourth place are occupied by Resetti Moretti (225) and Monkey Buccaneer (224) separated by a single successful pass. That tiny margin shows us again how closely matched the league's primary distributors are.

The next tier begins with Austin Morley on 219, followed by Rokuv Gibraltar with 210. Van Jertonghen sits just behind on 209 while Louie Duck continues the tightly packed group with 205 completed passes.
Rounding out the top ten are Damian DeSoto on 201 and Matt Oopsie Wrongsport Turk on 200. Again, only a single successful pass separates the final two positions.

Comparing this table with attempted passes reveals a familiar cast of names, but just in a different order. That reshuffle highlights the balance between the attempt and execution. It also shows us that the league's busiest passers are not always the most efficient while others quietly climb the rankings through ball retention.

Progressive passes
Progressive passing shows a much clearer separation at the top than the general passing categories. Rather than a closely grouped field, one player has established a noticeable advantage over the rest. While a large group forms immediately behind him, the distribution suggests a league with several forwarding thinking passers. But there is only one currently operating at a clearly superior volume over the rest.

Bob Berendsen leads the category with 39 progressive passes opening a significant gap over the rest of the field. That total places him well clear of the chasing group and establishes him as the league's most active forward thinking passer.

Behind him Saphira Brightscales sits second on 30 creating a distinct second tier before the gaps in the table start to close. Vyacheslav Shevchenko, Jay Cue Jr., STAR SCREAM and Sadie Black all share 27, forming a crowded group where a single additional pass would immediately alter multiple positions in our top ten.
The congestion continues just below with Jonathon Jameston and Angry Lizard both recording 26 while Isaiah Ali and Thomas Schwarte complete the top ten on 25.

Key passes
The key passes table shows a top heavy structure with a small group of creators separating themselves early before the distribution settles into a steady decline. While the top is led by a clear standout the midle of the table remains relatively close with several players operating at similar creative output levels.

Bob Berendsen leads again with 27 key passes, establishing himself as the primary chance creator in the dataset. His output places him ahead of the rest of the field with noticeable margin, marking him as the central creative hub in this phase of play.
Sadie Black follows on 24 remaining within reach but still behind the leader. The gap between first and second is relatively big, but not decisive enough to suggest complete separation in creativeness or effectiveness.

Behind them Nick Kasak and Dave Oliver share third place on 19. Forming a joint tier just below the top creators. Jay Cue Jr. sits fifth with 18 maintaining involvement in chance creation but slightly below our main characters of this story.

The mid table group(s) includes David Doug II and Irepsej Imeinaktok both on 17. Followed by Eden Empire IV and Owen Bryant on 16, continuing the gradual step down pattern in output.
Saphira Brightscales completes the top ten with 15. Rounding out a group where the gap from second to tenth is only nine key passes. Reflecting a reasonably close creative field behind the leading performer.

The overall structure highlights Bob Berendsen as the clear creative focal point in multiple passing statistics.

Attempted crosses
The attempted crosses table shows a clear distribution pattern with one standout volume crosser followed by a tightly grouped chasing group. The spread suggests that wide cross delivery responsibility is shared among a few primary players while the rest of the top ten operates within a relatively narrow band of crossing output.

Santos Neymarinho(I hate that name) leads the category with 57 attempted crosses establishing a clear gap between himself and the rest of the league. His volume places him firmly as the primary crossing outlet with noticeably higher involvement than any other player in the dataset.

Dave Oliver follows on 47 while Thomas Schwarte sits close behind with 46. Forming a close second tier where margins are minimal despite the relatively large drop from first.
Bob Berendsen ranks fourth with 45 continuing his presence across multiple creative statistics. Jay Cue Jr. is next in line on 43 keeping the upper group closely grouped behind the top three.

The middle section includes David Doug II, Eden Empire IV and Sadie Black, all on 40. Forming a three way tie that highlights how evenly crossing responsibilities are distributed among "secondary" wide creators.

Further down Vumion Stitcherson records 38 while Owen Bryant completes the top ten with 37. Rounding out a group where the difference between fourth and tenth is just eight attempted crosses.

Successful crosses
The successful crosses table presents a noticeably more balanced structure than the attempted crosses table with no single player translating volume into clear dominant accuracy. Instead, efficiency becomes the defining factor. Reshuffling the group and clsoing the gap between several of the league’s primary wide creators.

Sadie Black leads the category with 18 successful crosses and standing out as the most effective crosser in terms of end product. While not the highest volume crosser overall, he/she(?) converts her deliveries at a rate that places her clearly at the top of this efficiency based ranking.

Bob Berendsen follows on 15 maintaining strong involvement and carrying over his presence from other creative statistics. Jay Cue Jr., Dave Oliver and Nick Kasak all sit on 14. Forming a tightly packed group just behind the top two where a single additional successful cross would immediately shift multiple positions.

Alex Peña ranks sixth with 12 slightly separated from the leading group but still within a competitive range. Santos Neymarinho records 11, a notable drop relative to his league leading crossing volume, indicating a lower conversion rate despite high involvement.
Owen Bryant also sits on 11 followed by Eden Empire IV and Irepsej Imeinaktok both sitting on 10. Rounding out the top ten in a closely matched lower tier.

The contrast between this table and attempted crosses is interesting, the most frequent crosser does not lead in successful delivery. While the top performer in efficiency operates from a lower overall volume.

Chances created
The chances created table shows a relatively clear top structure with a small group of players separating themselves before the distribution begins to closw down into a wider mid tier. The gap between first and the chasing group is noticeable but below that the rankings become tightly ranked with multiple players producing similar creative output levels.

Scat Cat leads the category with 21 chances created. Standing as the most productive creator in the dataset. His output places him just above a closely grouped set of players, but the margin at the top is still meaningful enough to establish separation.

Ozzy Trent Kovács and Arsène N'Goussou share second place on 18 forming a joint chasing tier that remains within close range of the throne. Their identical totals show how evenly matched the primary creative threats are behind the top spot.
Hans Grudnar sits fourth with 15 followed by Weston McNuggie and Mikko Rashford II, both sitting on 14. Continuing the gradual decline in output from the leading group.

The lower half of the top ten is tightly compressed. Nico Lam records 11 while Karlach Cliffgate, Lisfor ilovezeagLe and Silver Tarandus all sit on 10. Forming a dense group where small differences in match impact or final ball execution determine ranking positions.

Assists
The assists table shows a relatively compact distribution with a clear leader separating himself from the rest, but only just. Beyond the top contributor the rest of the rankings compres quickly.

Alex Peña leads the category with 6 assists, establishing a clear top end output in direct goal creation. Making sure after the academy the minors division also cannot escape his brutally accurate and efficient crossing. His total stands him alone at the top.

Behind him, Jay Cue Jr., Silver Tarandus and Jack Pow all sit on 4 assists, forming a three way tie for second place. This group reflects a shared playmaking tier where multiple players are contributing consistently without breaking away from one another.
The next group includes Bob Berendsen, Saba Kvekvetsia, THRAXXii La’Mort and Saphira Brightscales, all on 3 assists. Continuing the tightly packed table through the mid table of creators.

At the lower end of the top ten Ben Nelson and Bodhi Grizz each record 2 assists. Rounding out a group where even small changes in finishing efficiency or chance conversion would alter our rankings.

Predicted assists
The predicted assists table shows a wider range distribution than the actual assists table did with a clear top two separating themselves from the rest of the field. Beneath that leading pair the rankings decline more gradually, forming distinct tiers rather than a single compressed together group.

Saba Kvekvetsia leads the projection with 21 predicted assists establishing the highest expected creative output in the dataset. This places him just ahead of LONDON SUPERSUB, who is a not even a real player but recorded 1 assist in 20 minutes of playtime and therefor has a high prediction, I might have to filter this out in the future..

There is then a clear drop to Alex Peña on 15, who sits alone in third and forms a separate upper tier, let's see if he can continue his academy success this season. Jay Cue Jr. follows on 14 eeping close proximity to the top creators but still slightly behind in projected output.
THRAXXii La’Mort ranks fifth with 13 followed by Saphira Brightscales on 11. Continuing a gradual decline through the mid range of creators.

The lower section of the table becomes more compact again with Bob Berendsen and Silver Tarandus both on 10. Irepsej Imeinaktok sits just below on 9 while Ignignokt completes the top ten on 7 assists.
