Port Royal FC @ PS Jakarta-Matchday 8 recap - DarkViper2 - 2026-07-17 This time I'm doing a recap on the most recent match that my team, Port Royal FC, played. Coming into this one every one the team knew this was a huge road match as Port Royal entered the match 2nd in the table with 13 points and PS entered as the top team in the Academy season with 19 points. A win form either team would really help out in their quest to claim the championship Formations PS Jakarta: 4-3-3 Port Royal FC: 4-2-2-2 1': Jakarta kicked the ball off to start the match. Nothing came out of this moment as Pauile Wag passed the ball to Landy Donnie who attempted a 1 touch pass to LEGEND Jerry but Port Royal's defensive line forced a turnover 7': PS has gone on the attack and Port was able to knock the ball out to force a Jakarta corner. Adrian Scochinkov took the corner and kicked the ball to Marvin Fish, instead of kicking the ball into the box. Fish then did a 1 touch pass back to Adrian. He did waste any time passing the ball back to Fish who took the shot from outside the box. Fish buried the shot into the bottom right corner, just out of the reach of Ahmad Ampharos, to give PS Jakarta the early 1-0 lead 14' + 15": PS is still on the attack and has another corner. Once again Adrian Scochinkov is taking it. This time he kicked the ball into the box and it was knocked out back to Fish who did another 1 touch pass back to Adrain. After nice move to juke LENEND Tenderloin, he finds Donnie. He attempt a 1 touch shot, but it's saved by Ahmad Ampharos as he tips the ball over the crossbar. This time Teddy Fantobens is taking the corner from the right side of the pitch. Once again the ball is kicked into the box and gets redirected to Fish. Thomas Thunder steals the ball away and begins a counter attack for Port Royal. He finds Peg Bittner who turns the ball back over to PS. LEGEND Chicken passes the ball to Adrian and Thor Bǫllrstoppari knocks the ball out of play forcing a throw in 16': now it's Port Royal's turn to go on the attack. Thor Bǫllrstoppari takes the corner kicks the ball into the box and Tenderloin buries the header into the up right corner, out of reach of the keep for the equalizer. Huge goal from Port Royal FC in the early stages 19': Jakarta responds with an attack of their own and Port Royal was able to force a corner. Fantobens kicks the ball into the box and it finds its way to Callum Wiggins and he does a volley pass to Fish. Fish then passes the ball to Jerry who attempts a shot, but was called offside. The shot didn't miss by much. Port Royal survives the scare 27': Port Royal goes on another attack and has a thrown in. Max Velox throws that ball to Scott Newman and he passes the ball back to Velox. Max attempts to cross the ball in but kicks way too hard and finds Chicken. They pass the ball to Fish who clears it to Thor. Thor does a 1 touch pass to Gerrard who finds Thomas Thunder. Thunder finds Newman and Scoot attempts a 1 touch shot the misses off to the right. What a waste of a golden opportunity to take the lead 36': Another attack from PS Jakarta and another corner from the right side and once again Fantobens is taking it. Newman defects the ball to Donnie and he does a 1 touch pass back to Fantobens. He passes the ball to LEGEND Whittington who passes the ball to Fish. He passes the ball back to Teddy and after some dribbling, passes the ball to Wag on the left side of the pitch. Wag crossed the ball to Jerry who attempted the shot and Ahmad Ampharos makes the save to keep the score at 1-1. The goal wouldn't have counted anyways as once again Jerry was caught offside 37': Gerrard throws the ball to His Cheeseburger. He passes the ball back to Gerrard and they do a 1 touch pass to Bittner who passes that bal back to Thor to reorganize the attack for Port Royal. He passes the ball to Tenderlion who passes the ball to Velox, after a littbit of dribbling. Velox passes the ball back to LEGEND Lexington. They pass the ball back to Velox who passes the ball up to Cheeseburger. He passes the ball to Bittner who does a 1 touch to Thunder. He attempts the shot but it gets defected out, off of Wag, for a corner. Gerrard takes the corner and Chicken deflects the ball out for another corner. This time Gerrard finds Lexington who attempts the header, but the shot goes over the crossbar and it results in a goal kick 42': PS goes on another attack and has another corner. Fantobens kicks the ball in and Newman heads the ball out of the box back to Fanto. He attempts to cross the ball in, but both Thor and Lexington combine to head the ball back towards the middle 3rd. Wag was in the right spot as he was able to keep the ball in the attacking 3rd. He dribbles the ball along the left edge of the penalty box and passes the ball back to Rylakn. He dribbles the ball up to the box and attempts a shot from just outside the box. I guess he was playing the wrong type of football as the shot just missed over the crossbar for a goal kick 46': Port Royal FC kicked the ball of to start the 2nd half and was attacking to the right this time. Tenderlion dribbles the ball up the pitch and passes it to Bittner. He took 2 touches then passed the ball out to Gerrard in the LW. Gerrard found a window to complete the 1-2 to Bittner. He attempts the shot, but Slim Towered makes a relatively easy save 48': Port Royal is being very aggressive to start the 2nd half. Thor takes the corner and finds Lexington but they just miss scoring the go ahead goal off a header, the ball just missed over the crossbar.This early pressure from Port Royal has to have PS Jakarta on the back foot early. Two good opportunities from Port Royal early in the half, can they keep the pressure up for he remainder of the game 58': Thor kicked the ball in and it got defected out to Bittner. He finds Thunder and on the half volley, he (Thunder) finds the back of the net to give Port Royal a 2-1 lead just 13 minutes into the 2nd half. PS Jakarta is now on the back foot and must find a response. If Port Royal keeps this pressure up, it could be a long 2nd half for Jakarta 61': It's an all out attack from Port Royal and Jakarta committed a foul in a very dangerous spot as Port Royal is awarded a direct free kick located just out side the box. Thor Bǫllrstoppari buried the ball into the bottom left corner, but didn't receive credit for he goal as it was determined to be an own goal committed by Rylakin. Port Royal now leads 3-1 and it looks like a nightmare is beginning for Jakarta 66': PS Jakarta finally has something going as Port Royal commits a foul and PS Jakarta has a direct free kick, a bit further back though. Fanto finds Scochinkov who attempts a header, but the shot is just a bit too high as it goes over the crossbar for a goal kick. PS really needed that one and Port Royal survives a scare 70': Another attack from Port Royal and another corner that's taken by Bǫllrstoppari. The ball gets deflected to Lexington who passes the ball to Bittner. He attempts the shot from distance, but Towered makes the save and forces another corner. Gerrard kicked the ball to Bittner who attempts another shot, this time on a half volley, and he completely misses the net. I mean this shot was not even close 71': Towered attempts a long pass of the goal kick, but Cheeseburger intercepts it and heads the ball to Munchakoopa who passes that ball to Newman. He passes the ball up to Velox. He attempts a shot from distance and forced Towered to make another save and gave Port Royal another corner. Gerrard kicks the ball into the box and it gets cleared by Jakarta for a Port Royal throw 76': Another attack from Jakarta and a much needed corner as time is starting to run out. Scochinkov finds LEGEND Whittington who attempts to a header, but the shot is easily saved by Ahmad Ampharos. Another golden opportunity wasted by Jakarta and they need to score goals quickly if they want to stay alive in the match. Ampharos drop kicks the ball and it finds its way to Tenderloin who does a heading pass to Thunder and he passes the ball to Cheeseburger. He struggles to get control of the ball and Wiggns makes an easy tackle to win the ball back for Jakarta. He passed the ball back to Towered and attempts a long pass, but it gets intercepted by Gerrard who passes the ball to Bǫllrstoppari and he passes the ball up to Tenderloin. They pass the ball to Newman who does a long pass off his weak foot to His Cheeseburger. He dribbles the ball up the pitch and attempts the shot but just missed the target off to the right 77': Towered attepmts a long pass but it gets intercepted by Munchakoopa who does a heading pass to Scott Newman. He passes the ball to Velox in the RW and he dribbles the ball up the pitch and attempts to get a cross in. Wag intercepts the pass. Wag turns the ball over in a dangerous spot as Newman tackles the ball away and he attempts a who with his weak foot and Towered has to make another save that forces a port Royal corner. Gerrard finds Lexington, but their header goes over the crossbar for a goal kick 83': Even though Port Royal is up 3-1, they are keeping the pressure on and not parking the bus. I'm okay with that knowing anything can happen in 7 minutes plus injury time. Gerrard takes the corner and the ball gets deflected back to them. They then pass the ball to Marvin Fish who attempts another shot from distance and this time finds the back to the net to make it 4-1. Safe to say barring some sort of miracle, Port Royal is going to win this one and pick up 3 much needed points 88': Yeah the game is pretty much over at this point and Jakarta is looking to score one more goal before the match is over. Velox intercepts the kick and passes the ball to Munchakoopa and he dribbles the ball towards the rights side and passes the ball back to Velox and he dribbles the ball up the pitch and attempts to get a cross in but the pass is defected by Wag back to Velox and he uses his head to cross the ball over to Thomas Thunder who attempts a header but the shot is saved by Towered 90+3': Port Royal has an indirect free kick and has an opportunity to play keep away to kill the remaining time in the match. Lexington passes the ball to Munchakoopa who passes the ball back to Lexington for a 1-2. Port Royal passes the ball around a bit the starts to push for one last attack, but the referee blew his whistle 3 times to signal the end of the game Final score: PS Jakarta-1 Port Royal FC-4 This was a much needed win from Port Royal FC to keep up with PS Jakarta for the Academy trophy. Port Royal is now 3 points back from PS Jakarta for the championship lead. Note to the PT graders, this is an article for league money as I've already completed my capped PT for the week
