A Win on a Win - jacobcarson877 - 2026-07-19

We had one of those games this week that we took like 30 shots, with 52 corners, 5 free kicks, and not to mention a bunch of deep throw-ins. So after complaining about not being able to see my player cook, I actually got to a bunch, in a pretty good game at that. I’ll ignore the disgusting pass that led to a turnover that led to a goal called back, since it technically never mattered, but that was awful. Outside of that though, it was really cool to see how well Kaspars Kalinins uses both feet, how much better he’s gotten in the air, and how much he’s evolved as a playmaker. Hendry has been the far more offensive of the duo, so Kalinins can sometimes be in the shadows, but Kalinins has regularly 3 or 4 quick passes from a goal. Oftentimes he’s the one directing the ball up the middle, or around the edge of the box, and then moments later it’s in the back of the net. Those kinds of plays don’t show up on the scoreboard, but they do on the screen, which was great to get to experience a lot more of, and hey a nice win is great too!
