Finishing Strong - jason97 - 2026-08-02 With the season slowly coming to an end, Inter London are still looking for their first win. Currently 0-2-10 with a -25 goal differential, the newly promoted side has been dragged through the weeds for most of the season. With only three matches left, the team is trying their best to earn points and possibly secure their first win. When asked about the season so far, João Mendes said, "We know it hasn't been the season that we wanted, but we aren't going to throw in the towel. We owe it to our fans that have stayed by our side the entire season, and we want to win." Matchday 13 saw Inter London take on F.C. Kaapstad. The final result was a 2-2 draw, with Inter London doubling their opponents' shots on target. Dante Von Wolfe scored a brace, one from the penalty spot and one from an assist by Felix Pedro. Mendes and Munro scored a goal each for the London side, with assists from Pope Francis and Arthur Cain. For Mendes, this is his third goal of the season, outscoring his goal tally of last season. Matchday 14 is when it finally happened. Inter London finally did it. Their first win of the season, with one game to spare. They defeated Krung Thep FC 2-1. Chris McZehrl scored in the 44th minute, followed by Benjamin Munro just two minutes later; Ryan O'Neill and Arthur Cain got the assists. This was a huge morale win for Inter London, and they will hopefully bring this momentum into next season. With expansion looming and everyone's future up in the air, I'm very happy that we were able to get a win before the end of the season. One, because it would've really sucked to end the season without a win, but also because I know that everyone has put in a lot of effort even during these hard times. I'm very proud of the team!
