GRADED: Birb's Rambling #1 : First Year and Expansion - birb - 2026-08-09

Hello everyone and welcome to my new hit serie "Birb's Rambling" where i talk about random things about the league when i decide to not draw a logo or if i dont have the time for it.

Year One

My first year in the Academy went a little bit rough in term of performance. Doto joined Medellin during the season and the team was already struggling a little, Medellin finishing in the lower ranks in the standings. Doto herself didn't do too bad, decent passing, heading and tackling. For the Academy itself, i have some opinions about it, i understand why it exist, it gives potential newer managers a team to manage, new players can get together more easily but i ended up not on a team for 2 games day because of "maybe opening a new team soon" which ended up happening but for a brand new person in sim league i would've most likely left. The people aren't a problem tho, it really is just the structure at least to me.

Expansion

We got to know the newest expansion teams logo and locations. I think the locations are great, i do have a small bias on small random places which we didn't get this time but some great choices in Morroco and Senegal for Majors and Ecuador and Portugal for Minors. Big fan of the Casablanca colour palette, the lion has the real life signification from the nickname of the Morrocan National Team, not sure about the waves and the meaning but it blends well with the rest. I dont know much about Dakkar and the meanings for things on the logo but it is still pretty nice. Alfama takes it for me between the Minors team, Guayaquil has too much going on for my likings, still really good work by the artist(s?) that made all the logos.

This marks the end of Birb's Rambling for today, see you next time for probably rambling about the draft.

330 words.

A 2-for-1 ramble! I see a bright future for this series.
