Tyson Blaze has a debut in the All-Star game - GlimsTC - 2026-08-15

Tyson had been making jokes to the media about how his first game should totally be the All-Star game, but what he didn't expect was a phone call unironically offering him just that. How in the world could someone who hasn't played a single minute of professional soccer be considered an All-Star?!?!? Perhaps his vibes are just that immaculate or perhaps his work as Adowa Accra's waterboy really was THAT impressive. Who knows! Whatever the case is, Tyson was now standing in the All-Star locker room for Sidds All-Stars among all the great players who actually DID play in a game this season. But honestly, the team was shockingly familiar, as at least three of his Adowa Accraa teammates were there too, those being Kit Krunk (the hero), Kazeno Kagenori (the savior), and Sirxo Masters (Tyson hasn't really had the chance to interact with them much, but as an All-Star game spoiler, they shall be known as "the setter"). Tyson would also learn later that on the opposing team, Khens Allstars, that Gösta Holmberg from Adowa Accra was also in the game. For a team that finished 5th in the Academy, that's a pretty impressive amount of All-Stars! In addition to his own great teammates though, Meisho Doto was also on Sidds' team too! As the Academy player that Tyson relates to the most, it made him feel both star struck, but also a lot more comfortable knowing he had so many friendly faces around.

Now as far as the game goes, Tyson knew going in he would be nothing more than a substitute, but what he didn't expect is this would actually lead to him playing a TON. He wouldn't make his first appearance in the game until the 2nd half, when the score was Khens 3 - Sidds 2. Tyson was, as you can imagine for a player of his caliber, absolutely beyond nervous. SHAKING, EVEN! But we was excited and ready to finally contribute for real! Of course, that ended up being a lot harder than expected. Tyson stuck true to what he knew best, which is that he was going to focus hard on passing the ball around to players who could do a way better job than he could with it. At first, it seemed super promising, as he passed it to Teddy Fantobens, who would then pass it to Karry Hane for the first goal of the half and Hane's 2nd goal of the game! Tyson couldn't help but feel pretty good about that, even though he didn't actually make the crucial pass. He made the pass to the passer who would though, which is basically an assist in itself! But after that, the nerves hit again. Tyson couldn't stop running into passing lanes from his own team and also ran into the ball carrier a few times, almost causing a total catastrophe! And then, when getting the ball passed to him, he totally panicked and BOOMED it as hard and far as he could, completely over the net. It was a horrible shot, but it left him feeling...hungry. Is this what it feels like to attempt to score a goal? Is this why people prefer shooting instead of passing? He had to do it again! I mean, he could probably score if he kept doing it, right?!? So he tried again, with another insanely long kick, which of course was also an insanely obvious miss. So Tyson was told to keep it cool and slow it down before he kicked his team out of the game entirely. Of course he would also kick the ball right to the other team, so clearly he was trying way too hard. For the majority of the end of the 2nd half, he managed to keep it together and not get himself into too much trouble, but he did get himself what was basically an assist once he got his composure back! Near the goal keeper, he would go for his third shot of the game, but it would bounce right off the keeper...RIGHT INTO RANGE OF KARRY HANE WHO WOULD BLAST THAT BALL IN FOR ANOTHER POINT! At this point, Hane would have 4 goals in the game, which is just absolutely INSANE when facing all of this amazing talent! And thanks to the heroics of Kane, this game would end up going into overtime tied 5-5. Though, I will say, this was all almost entirely messed up by Tyson hitting a close range header DIRECTLY TOWARDS HIS OWN GOALIE. If it wasn't for Kagenori beating an absolute goat, we'd have lost right there from Tyson trying to be WAAAAAAAY too fancy with it.

With the start of overtime, something important to mention is that while Karry Hane is having the game of his life for Sidds' team, on the other team, an actual GIANT is scoring at will for them as well. That giant, of course, is Bonnibel Bubblegum, who is the scariest person Tyson has ever stood in front of. AND THEY WERE WAY TOO GOOD AT BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIME, OH MY GOODNESS.  So a lot of overtime was trying to figure out how to play around them, which I will say, for the most part, it seemed we were doing pretty well on. Tyson was surprised by the fact that he was being left in to play all of overtime considering you'd imagine they wanted more experienced people out there, but honestly, it just felt good to be able to stay out there and play! And play he did, by which I mean he kept himself in check and avoided doing ANYTHING that stood out too much and just kept on passing, with the occasional pass to the wrong team. That left Tyson being a pretty big non-factor in overtime, with it really being a battle of Hane vs Bubblegum. Though, high credit to Masters, as they were doing everything in their power to set the shot for the team every single time that they could. Sidds team would spend most of overtime leading 5-6, but ultimately Bubblegum was simply too strong and too powerful, scoring two goals in overtime to tie the game and then steal the game away, ending this crazy All-Star game 7-6. Though, I must add at the end here, during overtime, Meisho Doto was hit with a yellow card and THAT DEMANDS JUSTICE! She's like the nicest player on the field and you expect me to believe she hurt another player? The ref crew must never allowed to ref again, and Tyson shall be fighting for that when possible.

Ultimately, the main takeaways for Tyson is that he's actually not THAT BAD compared to the others All-Stars, despite this being his first game. It gave him a taste of what it feels like to be a professional and to really compete on a big stage. Moving forward, he knows now what he should be focusing on, with the biggest thing being that he needs to commit to fulfilling his role as a passer and really get the hell out of his own way. With better decision making, he has what it takes to be a very successful player, and so he'll commit himself to working hard to get himself ready for the next step in his career, which is coming up super soon! Next up, the draft! Which is tomorrow! So it feels good to finally have tape for the scouts and hopefully raise his draft stock after all this time. Time will tell what's next for this Typhlosion!
