GRADED: My scouting covos - DarkViper2 - 2026-08-17
During the course of my time with Port Royal FC last season a number of SSL organizations reached out to me, 12 to be exact which is a good amount of teams
Expansion team 1
Dom was the first one to reach out to me for a scouting convo. Instead of doing the questions one at a time, they were rapid fired to me. And I got some weird ones in there, as an example "would you rather live with no fingers or no elbows?" I enjoyed the brief convo and of course I was asked about how active I planned on being in the LR
Schwarzwälder Fußballverein (SFV)/Montreal Untied
Max was the one to reach out to me. It was a slow one to start as they were busy with some IRL things, but eventually the convo picked up the pace. Of course I was asked about staying as a CAM or if I was open to a swap. I was also asked about what type of team I preferred and said I didn't care if the team was a contender right now or if it was in the middle of rebuild. I did enjoy my convo with his team and I wasn't really trying to force my way to them
Club Atlético Buenos Aires / Athênai Football Club
Another one of the more established teams to reach out to me and it was CamGoldenGun who reached out. Like the ET1, he just rapid fired the questions so it was a quick convo. To be honest I'd prefer the question to back asked 1 at a time, but I can handle rapid fire questions if needed. I was asked if I was interested in a job to help with the income. I said I would prefer to get one that's low maintenance and for the time being I'll focus on the occasional media articles to help with the income. Trying to get some bounties done will also help with that and I have done a couple of game recaps. I still plan on doing those if I can find the time
Reykjavik United / North Shore United
This team reached out to me twice which confused me at first, but I understood it after finding out the first person to reach out to me, Hoodz, was traded to Tokyo. Furious Chicken was the 2nd user to reach out to me. I really enjoyed my convo with these two. Hoodz was asking more about the vibes I was looking for in a LR. Chicken asked me how I found out about the SSL, why I joined, if I was willing to play somewhere else, ect. I said I was comfortable doing what the team wanted me to do. It came to my attention during the convo with Hoodz that Reykjavik is one of the most storied franchises in the league and that they are getting close to a rebuild after I asked what sutuatuion the organization was in at the moment
Hollywood Football Club / Football Club Kaapstad
Bloodless was the one to reach out to me and I'm quite familiar with his user as I've seen him in the ISFL. Naturally one of the first questions I was asked was how I was finding the SSL so far. I have been enjoying the league and have done a solid job at earning so far and I want to keep it that way. I was also asked if I could handle a 4th league. Given how long the SSL season is, I should be able to do it. Plus I tipically struggle with the SHL PTs so this league as an affiliate will help handle those. I was asked how comfortable I would be if I had to play elsewhere because the team was set on CAM. I said I was open to that as I want ot be a team first type of player, with a bit of arrogance. I did enjoy my convo with his team, would've been interesting if he was drafted by this organization because I made my player's hometown Los Angeles
Xelajú Cósmico Fùtbol Club / Académie de Football Masques Sacrés de Duékoué
Rezo was the one to reach out to me. The convo was short and sweet and it followed the same pattern as some of my other convos. I was asked if I was interested in a management position given that on my Discord Bio that I was a AGM in the MiLPBE (PBE minor leagues for those who don't know) for 3 seasons. Whenever I was asked if I wanted to stay as a CAM or if I wanted to move around, I always said I'd prefer to stay as a CAM, but I'd be willing to move around for the sake of the team
Tokyo Sports Club / Cairo City
Technically this origination was one of the first to reach out to me and Eric reached out to me a 2nd time. The first time was asking some rapid fire questions so it was a shrot convo. I did ask on average how long a user stays on the minor origination for and my understanding that answer to that question is 3 to 4 seasons. He did bring up the fact that the origination was in the middle of a rebuild. I was fine coming into a situation like that as I have been on rebuilds in 2 other sim leagues. The 2nd time he reached out he asked if I changed my mind and I said was open to any team
Expansion Team 2
sidd was the one to reach out to me. I enjoyed the convo and once again it followed pretty much the same script as they other. This was one of the rare times I got sked what my goals were for Scott Newman. My main goal is to have fun and my secondary goals are to win individual awards and championships. I understood that with an expansion team, things will be rough but the ship can be turned if things go right
Club de Futbol Catalunya / Seoul Mythic Football Club
Voodooman reached out to me. An interesting note is I saw the DM in my unread messages and responded a day later. I mentioned that I was in 3 other leagues and how the SSL is unique compared to them. The was a really short convo and as much as I enjoyed it, I wished it went on a bit longer. I was asked by this team and some of the pervious ones if I was a soccer/football fan. I'm more of a casual fan as I really don't have a favorite club to root for, I will root for my home nation's national team which is the US
Liffeyside Celtic Football Club / Club Sportif Rova Mpanjaka
This was one of the last teams to reach out to me and as anyone watching the draft Livestream heard it's because my user name is completely different here. Nol reached out to me and I know this user pretty well as we were teammates on the Outer Banks Aviators for a while, until he was traded. He didn't ask that many questions as he knew I would be a good fit in the origination. I mentioned that I will definitely need some build help as this is my first player. I made it clear when asked about a timeline of being called up to the major team that I didn't really have a timeline as I'm willing to be patient. I did ask if the team was in a rebuild or if the window was closing. Nol mentioned that the window is opening as the team just missed out on the title last season
I'm excited to start my career with Celtic/Rova and there are plenty of users that are in this organization that I recognize; Lemon, Crunk, Bailey, and boom to name a few. In fact boom is the GM of the team I'm currently on in the SHL. My goal right now is to once again build up a decent bank account after spending 7.65M for 18 TPE in individual training. There are so many things I need to work on and I'm going to take them one at a time as I don't want to overwhelm myself
