How my first season in the minors went - Bergmau - 2026-08-21

We have now arrived at the point of prepare which I mentioned in my last post. After celebrating promotion and taking some time to relax, its time to look forward to a challenging season.

What better way to prepare then to look back?

First thing I looked at was rating, let me put it like that. I shouldn't have. The award for the worst average rating in my team goes to, *drumroll* me. I also managed to go a whole season without a single assist and landed in a tied second place for most yellow cards in the league, just behind my teammate Cameron Millwall. Congrats to you by the way for this incredible title. If you ever decide to play hockey, we found our enforcer.

Atleast I managed to score my first goal, additionally I found another statistic in which I managed to place Top 10, Blocks, coming in hot at a shared 8th place.

Individually speaking, the season really wasn't something to be to happy about. Looking back not only on my statistics, but the way the games have played out. I felt like a lot of times it was more about me not making the mistake rather than me creating a chance or having impact otherwise. Luckily for me, football is a team sports afterall and as a team we had an amazing season. Considering this was my rookie season, its probably best to leave some room for improvement, although it might be a bit more though in Division 1 of the Minors next season comparing to Division 2.

Back to working on improvements it is. See you soon, wether it is on the pitch or in the stands.
