SSL Season 27 Minor League Division 2 Matchday 4 from my POV - Jakesdy - 2026-09-12 Hello everyone! After sitting out Matchday 3 of the SSL Second Minor League—due to scheduling quirks and the number of teams in the championship—we returned to action on Matchday 4 against Inter London, a side that had been relegated to the second division last season. The match ended in a goalless draw, a result notable given that we played the entire second half with ten men following a second yellow card for Kim Heung-Min. Let’s take a look at the statistics and try to piece together what actually happened during the game. Shots - Cairo City: 25, Seoul: 5 On Target - Cairo City: 4, Seoul: 1 xG - Cairo City: 1.95, Seoul: 0.23 Possession - Cairo City: 66%, Seoul: 34% Passes Completed - Cairo City: 90% (447/499), Seoul: 82% (229/280) Of course, the statistics clearly show that Inter London—having gained a numerical advantage—launched numerous dangerous attacks on our goal and essentially controlled the game; however, our defense was outstanding today, and we didn't let our opponents score. So, I think it’s fair to say that, in the context of this match, we actually earned a point—even though we essentially made things difficult for ourselves. I played a good match — a 6.9 rating and 13.4 km covered. Well, just like in our previous game, we were really unlucky — but unlike that match, at least we aren't leaving empty-handed. Still, we’re hungry for wins, so I hope they come our way in the upcoming games. Thanks for reading, and see you very soon! P.S. In previous articles, I wrote "Season 26" because I'm an inattentive goofball :3 |
