GRADED: GRADED: A reflection of my experience - MN_Moosey - 2022-03-27 I wanted to take a moment to talk about my current experiences with the league. I have not been exposed much to soccer (or football if you are an intelligent non-American unlike myself) throughout my days growing up even with my town’s extensive program that saw numerous fields being put in this huge complex. I had always been a fan of the other big sports like baseball and American football, but never really got interested in soccer. Maybe it was because I never had a team near me growing up to support or that my family never introduced me to it or were fans themselves. Now as an adult I have a team right next door in Minnesota United but I have not brought myself to go to a game. The field is gorgeous and honestly, I should try to go to a game sometime. I think it would be a fun experience especially with the supporters section that famously sings Wonderwall after every win.

Now with that bit of background, you might be asking “why are you in this league if you care not for the sport?” Well I joined other leagues that involve sports that I honestly do not care about like basketball. I am a GM over there so things really got out of hand real quick. I like the environment of the leagues and getting to know new people. Should I have gone first overall in the draft? Probably not, but here we are. I guess people see me as a good user or something and want to keep me on the team. I have had a great time getting to know a bunch of new people and learning a bit more about a sport that I have underrated for so long. Omni has been a great mentor and guide as I keep updating my player to be as good of a defender as I can realistically be. There is a lot that I have to do for that build so I guess it’s a good thing that I am committed to these leagues and go total try-hard. I hope I can live up to these wild expectations and be half the player that I was drafted to be.
