A Far Too Early Look At Kaz Okada's Season - DidYouSeeThatLudicrousDisplay? - 2026-09-16 Taking a break from my weekly visits with Kaz Okada, I am going to instead take a look at how he's doing so far in this early season. Kaapstad currently sits in third place in Minor League 1, with 1 win, 2 draws, and 1 loss through four matches. Looking at Kaz himself, thus far, he's played in each game, and surprisingly, despite his aggressive playstyle, he has not received any cards yet, yellow or red. Good improvement going into his second season. He's completed 91% of his passes so far, 192 out of 210. Granted, a lot of his passes seem to go back to the goaltender, so there's not a lot of opposition to it, but it's still a good looking stat, even if it could be better. Speaking of percentages, through 4 matches, he's won 57% of his tackles, which he thinks should be better than it is. He hasn't attempted too many of them so far, so it's not as heavy as a stat. His 48.8% header percentage is something else that needs some work. It's going to be a long season if he can't improve that. And on a light note, I was joking in the locker room the other day that Kaz was going to get a hat trick. What I didn't realize was that according to the index, he actually did register a shot on goal! Was expecting him to not ever get that chance. What else will this season bring?
