More SSL comparisons - DarkViper2 - 2026-09-28 I did a deep dive on comparing the SSL to the other 3 leagues that I'm in and have found out more things that separate this league from the others 1. Fantasy While the ISFL, PBE, and SHL have been doing fantasy for a while now, this season the SSL decided to run a beta test for fantasy this season. The way fantasy is run is completely different here compared to the other leagues. Here it was select your team on a budget and hope it goes well; in the other leagues you placed in a group and draft your team in snake order. The order would look something like this, 1-2-3-4-5-6-6-5-4-3-2-1 and this repeats itself until the draft is complete. Of course there is participation money given out and the potential to earn additional money/TPE if a user finishes high enough 2. Bank account Like the other leagues the money earned goes into a bank account, but it's different here. In the ISFL, SHL, and PBE the account is tied to the user so if someone builds up a good bank early they can just coast off the success and not have to worry about earning. Here the account is tied to the player so that means a re-create has to work hard in order to to be able to afford the max amount through seasonal training with each new player created 3. Season and offseason length The ISFL, SHL, and PBE seasons last for about 1 mont of IRL time and the offseason is about 2 weeks. Here the season is longer with it lasting about 2 months and the offseason is only 1 week in length. So longer season, but a shorter offseason is the trade off (291 words) |
