Checking in on the class of 26 - nckkss - 2026-10-23
Season 26’s draft – where are they now?
Immediately after our classses draft I posted an analysis of it as someone who was part of it. Now, after two full seasons in the SSL proper, its time to see how everyone is doing.
Round 1
1. Schwarzwälder FV - Barry McGlynn - @Definia
Now: 5th in TPE 872
Everyone’s 1oa (sorry Riipsaw), Barry has beena crucial part of Montreal’s promotion in Minors Division one, and while Schwarzwalder might be keen to move him up to bolster their performance, they’ll also be thinking about keeping Montreal up.
To no one’s surprise, Definia is now a BoD member, and is a part of the furniture of the SSL in the best way possible.
2. Schwarzwälder FV - Reece Munro - @Riipsaw
Now: 6th in TPE 866
Never to be considered an afterthought, Riipsaw’s move into the BoD is also a huge coup for the league as a whole. Long may the brother’s reign continue.
3. A.C. Romana - Jimothy Erickson - @GingerJLD
Now: 10th 855 TPE
Snapping up jobs like Thanos, Jimothy could be making a move to the majors very soon to make room for Romana’s forecast big dive into the next prospect draft.
Ginger missed a couple of PT’s and so his TPE has taken a small hit but I doubt it will make the difference in the long run. Still an ever present on discord and all around hero.
4. União São Paulo - Ignignokt - @AustinP0027
Now: 13th 849 TPE
I didn’t know Austin much before, but after back to back minors wins with Paris, and a fantastic continuation of their media, as well as my further exploration of other sim leagues, there was no question that they deserved this high pick. I imagine another season at Paris beckons
5. Shanghai Dragons FC - S Sei - @xyan
Now: 2nd 875 TPE
Long time TPE leader over the whole of season 27, xyan remains an awesome user and active player. Doing well with Magyar, and with newly crowned Champions Shanghai without a single pick this draft, S Sei will probably stay with Magyar.
6. Xelajú Cósmico FC - Saphira Brightscales - @PidgeyDestined
Now: =16th 843 TPE and at I.R. Casablanca
I didn’t know Pidgey at all, but now I keep bumping into them in other sim leagues. Two seasons ago I was probably confused how such a low TPE player ended up a high pick, now I’m shocked they didn’t go higher.
A move in Season 27 to Casablanca as Assistant Manager and the first member of the class to already be in the majors. They got in at the ground floor and the only way is up.
7. Shanghai Dragons FC - Joe Mormor - @Haramcha
Now: 12th 852 TPE
I don’t see so much of Haramcha about, but their quietly plying their trade and still releasing their fantastic media. As with xyan above, at least another season in the minors, surely?
8. Liffeyside Celtic FC - Jack Pow - @Jack_Pow
Now: =16th 843 TPE
Having a stellar rookie season and winning promotion with Rova, Pow had moved on to establishing them in division one. Liffey may still call him up, but I look forward to facing with him next season if he doesn’t.
As a user Jack is a grader on the forums, and I’m sure he will be fair when grading this particular media.
9. Reykjavik United - Kairo Vox - @Hoodz_91
Now: 4th with 874 TPE and with Cairo City.
In a surprise move to me, Kairo moved to Cairo in the greatest example of nominative determinism I’ve ever seen. Still keeping high up with TPE as ever (spent a lot of the academy season as class leader if IIRC), but perhaps a little less present on discord, Hoodz is now the head accountant for the SSL and therefore my boss. Cairo (and Kairo) will be moving up to Division one next season so he can finally face off against his rival Jack Pow.
10. Hollywood FC - Nick Kasak - @nckkss
Now 1st 885 TPE
I’ve managed to somehow become class TPE leader and more cynical person might say I’ve written this article to simply talk about this fact. And while that might be partly true, I’m enjoying my SSL time more than ever, excited to begin a third season with Kaapstad as the Anchorman in midfield.
Since the draft I have played in SHL, ISFL and SBA but the SSL will always be my home league. I’m currently working as an accountant and I’m trying my best, ok?
11. CA Buenos Aires - Moew enBach - @Moew
Now 33rd 620 TPE
A little less active than the academy days perhaps, Moew has been trying to stop Athenai from conceding too many goals. The results so far have been inconclusive.
12. Hollywood FC - Joshua Homme III Esquire Limited - @o1playz
Now 11th 854 TPE
My colleague at Kaapstad is now their assistant manager. Formerly a much higher TPE earner, I fear getting the average predictions has affected their performance.
Round 2
13. Schwarzwälder FV - Christopher Bergmann - @Bergmau
Now 15th 844 TPE
Solid earner and solid work. At 15th Bergmau is very close to their draft position. Steady, steadfast, reliable.
14. União São Paulo - Owen Goal - @anjro
Now 8th 863 TPE
USP/ASP know how to draft well, sadly. Great pick up, slotting straight into an already stacked Paris team. Fantastic player and user.
15. Hollywood FC - Dante Von Wolfe - @Bloodless
Now 7th 865 TPE
Incredibly me and bloodless now share 14 different discord groups and 2 teams amongst the various leagues. The star striker at Kaapstad is also the star Center and captain for Great Falls Grizzlies in the SMJHL and my fellow SMJHL HO intern.
Dante is passionate about winning and he doesn’t care who knows it.
16. CF Catalunya - Dennis van Huntelrooy - @Jeanious
Now =2nd 875 TPE
Joint top scorer last season in minors division 2, they have leapt up the TPE standings with strong predictions and earning BIG money. I think its through crime or possibly articles. I’ve let the police know, anyway.
17. Shanghai Dragons FC - Cory Stevens - @Toast
Now 27th: 686 TPE
Another goalkeeper doing excellent work for Magyar, unlikely to be moving up to majors, but solid beginnings to their SSL career.
18. Xelajú Cósmico FC - Isaiah Ali - @Turbanator
Now 29th: 663 TPE
A quieter player, Isaiah Ali will nevertheless feature in my allstar team this season. Perhaps drifting away from the pack a little, but still active nonetheless.
19. CD Tenochtitlan - Blaise N'Kufo - @McTruffles
Now 32nd: 634 TPE
Never to be compared to their friend and fellow MC McLumberjack, Blaise N’Kufo is my old Accra team mate and I’ll always enjoy seeing them do well. But never score against Kaapstad. Again. Don’t do it again. Please, I need this.
20. Liffeyside Celtic FC - Slabko Plačkovič - @sc1zzO
Now 37th: 577 TPE and at CD Alfama (IA)
Our first Inactive from the draft, it will be interesting to see how much longer they can find a place on a team.
21. Reykjavik United - Alex Peña - @CRMO15
Now: 14th: 848 TPE
Say their name! The academy assist record holder has faced unfortunate times with a relegation for North Shore, but this talented player and user will bounce back for sure. A small chance for a majors bump up, but I feel it unlikely at this point.
22. CF Catalunya - STAR SCREAM - @Starscream
Now 9th: 855 TPE
A consistent and solid earner, Star Scream has done well to stay the course and fit right in. Moving to defence after the draft, they’ve enjoyed great progress as a player and are nipping at the heels on the top 8.
23. Tokyo S.C. - Scorp E. Unshark - @hhh81
Now 19th: 830 TPE
A manager pick, so forced, but obviously solid earner and player.
24. Hollywood FC - Kaz Okada - @DidYouSeeThatLudicrousDisplay?
Now 23rd 766 TPE
Great teammate with an even better username. Interesting how close they are TPE wise to their draft pick up.
Round 3
25. Shanghai Dragons FC - Tim Quackareedoo - @canard101
Now: 46th 387 TPE INACTIVE
Still on the books at Rapid Magyar, but for how much longer?
26. Tokyo S.C. - Leonardo Stone - @Frostbite
Now: 18th 841 TPE
Looking like a great pick up for Cairokyo, a consistent presence who has worked their way up.
27. Hollywood FC - Felix Pedro - @Artemis
Now: 24th 749 TPE
My midfield partner has a spotty season activity wise which has seen them tumble down the class. I hope they come back soon, otherwise their spot could be at risk!
28. Tokyo S.C. - Eric Duic - @Roboeric562
Now 26th 689 TPE
Not straying too far from their draft position TPE wise, a great class member.
29. Shanghai Dragons FC - Josh Harper - @JCPro
Now 20th 800 TPE
Playing at right back for Magyar and destined for a quietly brilliant career.
30. Xelajú Cósmico FC - Sadie Black - @Rezo950inat0r2
Now 21st 789 TPE
Not so active in the academy, but now quite the fixture, Rezo is now on the management team while playing for Masques and I believe their brother is in the current prospect draft.
31. A.C. Romana - Maurjiro Rivers - @Maur Rivers
Now INACTIVE 431 TPE
Although a late joiner to the academy, they were quite active and chatty. It’s shame for both them and Romana that they are gone!
32. Schwarzwälder FV - Bruce McAllister - @Spree
Now 35th 605 TPE
The quieter third brother is still plying their trade, even if they aren’t making the waves of Definia and Riipsaw. They’re still here though, unlike some of the others at this position in the draft..
33. Reykjavik United - Martin Krpan - @ChiefVito
Now 25th 711 TPE
Martin Krpan likes their booze. As for Chief Vito, we aren’t sure. Hope this doesn’t explain the goals conceded by North Shore this past season...
34. Tokyo S.C. - Baptiste Azzola - @Liscore
Now 22nd 780 TPE
A steady rise in the TPE and up the rankings shows once again that draft position rarely means anything anymore.
35. União São Paulo - Saba Kvekvetsia - @Jepox
Now RETIRING
Fantastic memories of how much they tripped up the commentary team (or not) during our academy games, I’m sure they’ll be back with another player soon.
36. CF Catalunya - Jayson Bryzski - @JaytheGreat
Now 31st 656 TPE
I’m afraid I don’t know a huge amount about this player, but I am always pleased to learn more about my fellow class, and glad to see when they are still keeping active in the SSL.
Round 4
37. Schwarzwälder FV - Luis Fonseca - @BackpackPlays
Now IA Free Agent
38. Tokyo S.C. - Umaq Yupanqui - @Rancidbudgie
Now: 30th 658 TPE
39. Hollywood FC - John McDougal - @EggBert1899
Now: INACTIVE
40. CA Buenos Aires - Mullet Man - @Ogreishh
Now 27th: 669 TPE
