Maturity At the End - jacobcarson877 - 2026-10-25
Well, took some time to watch a game again just now, and of course it happens to be us losing to Catalunya, which I gather was an important game to win. So that stinks. But what was nice was being able to see a game where I felt pretty darn great about the performance of Kaspars Kalinins. Nearly scored one himself off of an (un)fortunate free kick post, and distributed a great ball to Hendry for a goal from the edge of the box. A series of very strong forward passes, some really mature ball handling, and some timely interceptions, all packaged in a very disciplined outing. That’s exactly the kind of game I’m hoping to bring more often, and I hope that this offseason will bring some rest and recuperation so that we can begin our campaign again on fresh footing. This season was tough to watch all around, and we really looked like rookies amongst veterans. One of those seasons that felt like a real sophomore slump, and taught us a lot about how we want to play when we’re outclassed, and how we want to outclass other teams. And strong performances from Kaspars Kalinins will go a long way to establishing that in the coming seasons.
