Walker Interview - Divison 1 and more - fathands3k - 2026-10-28 With the season a few weeks away, we were lucky enough to grab an interview with budding superstar of Catalunya, Luke Walker. He answers about the upcoming season, his goals and what does success look like for Catalunya this year: Hi Luke, how was your off season? Tough, as always. It's always non-stop come the off season, I will rest when my career is all said and done. But for now, each day is a day to get closer to my prime. What that prime will be I don't know but I want to ensure I work as hard as I can to make sure I reach what I feel is my full potential We expect nothing less from you in that regard. How is the team handling their promotion from Division 2, have you seen anything different from them? Obviously we were over the moon with the promotion, something I feel we deserved. It would have been nice to get the automatic promotion with the title but that just eluded us. But since we won the playoff the guys in the locker room have stepped it up a gear. You can see on the pitch they just want to fight that bit harder, run that bit faster and get that bit stronger. We are a very close-knit group and we know when the work is happening and when we can have that moment to let off steam. It's a great locker room to be a part of and next season I can't see that changing. But we are really looking forward to showing what we can do in Division 1 next year. With Catalunya coming up via promotion, what do you think is achievable in the first season? Everything. We don't aim small here and hope to hit big, we aim big and are disappointed if we miss. If we aren't aiming for the top, in my opinion we may as well not bother. Whether or not it's realistic, we aim to win the whole damn thing! We don't play to be second, we play to win. These teams around us are still 11 vs 11 at the end of the day but I know if we do what we are supposed to, we give ourselves the best chance to create some magic. It'll be good to showcase our talents. After your last answer I feel I already know the answer to this one, what personal achievements do you think are possible this season? Personal achievements are great, I love having won the golden boot last year and in with a shot at team of the season. But the biggest achievement is and always will be winning as a team. I can't win a match on my own and it takes 11 dedicated players on the pitch with the management behind them pushing in the right direction. If we do that, the other personal stuff will take care of itself but winning a title or cup will always mean more than winning an individual trophy. Finally, we asked our readers to fill in a poll to ask you a random question and this was the winner...if you could click your fingers and cause an annoyance to someone, what would it be that would annoy them and to who would it annoy the most? You would think this would be a hard question to answer, but it's not. I want instant 3 feet deep snow to arrive at @CamGoldenGun house so he'd have to shovel it. Could you imagine, you think it's done, ready to go inside and *click* snow is back. Hahaha that would be fantastic. He'd hate me, but he already does so it wouldn't change much! Man alive!
