Holmberg Reflects on First Season - Hexx - 2026-11-01
After 13 games with the CD Alfama, Gösta Holmberg has completed his first professional season of soccer. He had his highs and lows of the season like any other player, but for him this was a harder season. After a solid showing in the Academy last year, he was really excited to get his first professional games in and show the ASC Yumboes/CD Alfama organization that he was the right choice to take in the draft and that he would be a force for them for years to come. The season started off hot, but after a seemingly good start everything started to halt. Not to say that Holmberg didn't feel like he progressed, but that there was a lot left worth wanting.
Throughout the entire season he would only be credited with one assist, and would not record a single goal. Which is fine, but Holmberg isn't exactly known for solid defensive play so to no see a reflection of his offensive ability on the stat screen disappointed him greatly as the season ended. Overall he would be just okay on the field, averaging just over 6.0 for match rating. his passing would hover around an 80% average for the season, something he hopes he can improve for next season. Holmberg wasn't happy with his performance throughout the season and hopes he will have a better showing going into the next season.
