GRADED: GRADED: First Impressions on the SSL - seafreddy - 2022-04-09 My experience in the SSL so far has been very positive. The onboarding process is smooth, and people in discord were very helpful. There was a lot going on surrounding the draft which made it more engaging. The structure of the league is good, and the fact that it’s expanding so much already is a good sign and makes it easier to retain players. Having both a cup and a league is realistic for soccer (real football) fans and gives more competition to non-super-fans to get engaged in in the league.

So far, I’m very impressed with the SSL and am optimistic about the direction it’s going. A big part of this is the new exposure to Football Manager. Having a good platform to run your games on is huge and is a factor in maintaining interest in the league. It’s good for users I see their players in action, actually reaping the benefits of what they sow.

Coming from the PBE, this was big for me. I am a soccer fan which initially piqued my interest, but the complexity and quality of simulating with Football Manager has kept me here.

That, and the GM’s. Ever since I joined everyone has been helpful and engaging. I must say that picking Pau and Aneeq to GM an expansion franchise was a great choice by HO, and I’m sure it was an easy one if anyone talks to them for just 5 minutes. The locker room in Sydney is fantastic. The vibe is positive and encouraging. We have fun with people on and not on the team.

All of these factors have made SSL a very enjoyable place to be. I don’t know if l I’ll ever get super into Football Manager on my own, but that’s ok, I don’t have to. It’s engaging as a spectator looking from the outside in.

I’m looking forward to a long sim career here in the SSL.

CODE

322 words

GRADED: GRADED: First Impressions on the SSL - omniscius - 2022-04-18 Glad to have you here in the SSL and hope to see a long career from ya! |
