It's no mistake whatsoever that Cairo City Football Club is one of if not the worst team in the league this season. With only a single win and all other games resulting in a loss, they just cannot get it going on the field and often struggle to score more than one goal, with the majority coming either from penalty kicks or fast breaks by the striker Torres. We cannot seem to get the ball into the box without turning it over no matter what we do, and our wingers are not taking shots often at all which is hurting us nearly as much. And the turnovers are the huge thing that is currently wrong with Cairo. When watching games, the passing is atrocious. There are some good clean passes here and there, but the team as a whole struggles immensely to complete a single short routine pass without kicking it directly to the defense and allowing them to counterattack, seemingly always either giving up a shot at goal or a strong press that is barely averted. Our goalkeeper has been doing a fantastic job most days protecting the net, rarely straight up being beaten and more often allowing goals on rebounds or goals on balls that deflect off of him into the back of the net, so he cannot be blamed. But Cairo just does not have it together. The defenders are not doing too poorly either although they like all other members of the team could stand to improve some, they just get worn down by the constant passing and cannot seem to generate turnovers hardly at all. Combine that with the piss-poor passing up front causing turnovers and you end up with a situation where Cairo just cannot string a full sequence together to get a goal or a win most days. To put the icing on the cake, the striker Torres has 6 goals, as does right attacking midfielder Pascal Anivierre, 3 of his being penalties. Cairo as a whole has all of 13 goals. Two players make up all but one of Cairo's goals, and that HAS to change if they want to have any chance at competing this season.

Hey bleak times at Cairo, but I hope you all turn it around this offseason!
