After a devastating loss in the SSL Cup Quarterfinals that sent them packing, Inter London has bounced back well in league play and through Matchday 14 currently sit in first place barely ahead of one of the biggest surprises this season in Sydney City. Inter has put on a dazzling display since their quarterfinal defeat in the SSL Cup at the hands of Catalunya, winning their last three matches in a row and sporting a +10 goal differential in that stretch. The team has been buoyed by strong play this season from the usual suspects Liang Kuai and K Clamence, but it's really the emergence of striker Connor Azpilicueta that has helped take Inter London to the next level this season. Formerly a defensive back, Azpilicueta miraculously made the switch to striker during a somewhat controversial offseason for the budding talent that has left some Inter fans admittedly divided over the star footballer.
"Yeah I mean is he really one of us or innit he?" one Inter London fan said to us after we ambushed him on the street for an interview, "I mean lookit what ees doin on the pitch, ya certainly can't complain abou it. But thas not wha we have a problem wit issit? No, is what went on off the pitch tha it is. We unfortunately had to cut the interview short due to time constraints.
Regardless of how the fanbase feels though, it's clear that Inter London hasn't missed a beat under the leadership of their new manager and continues to gel, Azpilicueta included. They are surging right now but face a tough final stretch of the season with matches against defending champion Hollywood FC as well as a match against Sydney City that may very well decide the fate of the league title this season. With Inter eliminated from the SSL Cup, their fans will certainly be watching each remaining match day on the edge of their seats, hoping the team can finally take the next step and put it all together in the third season of the SSL.

Lmfao Connor Azpilicueta the first big money star in the league. Will the fans ever accept him or will they only be on his side when in form? He's had a great season though and if y'all win I'm sure the fans will forgive him.
