- Canadice - 2022-05-22 S4 Draft Class We have now completed our largest Prospect Draft since our inaugural season and our first ever live draft show went off without any major issues (except Buenos Aires apparently trading with themselves according to the graphics). We would like to thank all those that were on the call @omniscius, @ProjectSaint, @G2019, @Aenir, @r1c3bowl22 and @Canadice as well as those who watched, commented and participated! A special shoutout to @Thunder39 who had made great work on the different assets but was unable to attend due to a power outage. We hope that all of the S4 class will enjoy their time in the league and wish them good luck as they start on their journey! Waiver Wire Any new players that are approved until the Trade Deadline (see the SSL Calendar) will be eligible to be claimed on the Waiver Wire. So do not fret if you are waiting to join a team! Updates to the Rulebook As is custom, the Board of Directors and all team managers have spent the off-season looking over proposals for changes in the Rulebook and have voted to pass the following: Payment increments To facilitate a lot of the processes in the league when it comes to payments of contracts and salary, Section 5 Subsection 2 Rule 3.e now states that All contracts, fines and job pay must be set in $100 000 increments. Player Retirement Section 3 Subsection 3 Rule 2.a.ii now specifies that a player who retires after the trade deadline will have their player retire at the end of that season if they recreate before the Eligibility deadline of the upcoming Prospect Draft. If they do not recreate, the player will retire at the end of the subsequent season, as was written in the rule before. Player Loans The BoD and the managers voted to pass a rule that would allow teams to loan out players to another team. The rule in its entirety is easier to read in the Rulebook under Section 6 Subsection 3 Rule 3. To summarize a team can loan out a player during an entire season if the team and the player affected agree to the deal prior to Matchday 1. The loan cannot be terminated and the player must play at least 75% of the games at the loan club. Rookie Redistribution This rule is of importance for all of the S4 class as we now allow Rookies the chance to redistribute some of their TPE during the rookie season. Instead of having to wait for an entire season to re-roll (rule 5 in the same section) during the off-season, a rookie may now redistribute up to 100 TPE and/or their entire positional XP once during their first season. If the player is a goalkeeper this Rookie Redistribution opportunity is upgraded to a full re-roll if the intent is to switch to an outfield player. This type of re-roll can be submitted during the season.
There are still a couple of rule changes being discussed and processed and will be announced at a later date should they pass. Season 4 Tomorrow (Monday) marks the start of Season 4 of the SSL and with that comes more TPE opportunities in the form of a Training Camp, League Predictions, a League Survey and much much more. Free Agents are also able to sign with a new team at that point in time. The pre-season is expected to start up with the first game on Saturday the 28th of May as we take the start of this week to work on getting everything set up in Football Manager. Canadice on behalf of the BoD. - TheFlash - 2022-05-22 Well done BoD - Tomen - 2022-05-22 A lot of nice changes from my POV, really excited about the ability to loan out players as it should help with the not having to expand all the time if players can just be loaned out. - twix - 2022-05-22 Adding loans is very exciting, just need subs next - khkreator - 2022-05-24 sunest |
