- diamond_ace - 2022-07-06 Given the timing of the live streams of the games, I can pretty much never make them as they're typically while I'm at work. This is a concern, but it's not too bad - I don't need to watch, I can catch the info after, and if for whatever reason I'd be particularly inclined to watch the stream there are usually recordings of it that I could go back and watch after the fact. Nonetheless, given I don't watch the streams, I wasn't really sure how Wash was doing. He's still relatively new so I was sure it probably wasn't great, but as it turns out, he hasn't been half bad. He's put up a 6.62 rating over 10.5 games, which you figure given that the starting rating is 6.7, he's only been slightly lower than average. For a rookie, and not the top rookie either, it could definitely have been a lot worse. 89.4% completed pass rate isn't terrible, of course it could be better, but sometimes defensive guys are just expected to hoof it out of the final third regardless of where it ends up, which certainly wouldn't help. Tackle rate of 85.7% I'd like to improve, that's kind of the whole point of a defensive player, to put in a tackle where it counts. 4 key tackles, 10 interceptions (pretty low honestly), 113 clearances, but most importantly, 0 mistakes leading to goals. As a younger, less developed player, you're not always going to put up the positive stats, but if you can avoid the negatives that's the most important thing. On the whole, this doesn't exactly paint the picture of a Sergio Ramos, or a Franz Beckenbauer, or even a Marcel Desailly. Wash is nowhere near that point, nor do I expect him to be. He's been decent though, good enough for the expectations, and that's something I'm pretty satisfied with. |
