Sadio Garcia’s off-season

Packing his bag on a sunny morning in Cairo, Sadio made his way to Cairo International Airport purchasing a one way ticket to Sao Paulo. Once arriving in São Paulo, Sadio had to go house shopping.

But as a second year SSL player Sadio is well aware of his predecessors spending to much money to soon and going broke shortly after the end of their SSL careers. With this in mind Sadio purchased a quaint 1 bedroom 1 bath near the training facility. Once Sadio had his life sorted he had to decided where he was going to train this offseason.

Here in Sao Paulo? Go home to Spain? Return to Cairo? Somewhere else? Sadio had to way up the pros and cons of each option. Sadio eventually decided that something important had to change for the improvement he wanted; after being let go by Cairo Sadio was hungry to make it as a star in the SSL.

So with this in mind Sadio decided to train in Brazil in the offseason. With some of the most talented players and lacking an SSL team all the players there were hungry to take Sadio’s spot which forced him to keep focused on improvement. After brutal morning lifts and runs and blaring heat through practice Sadio put himself through the seven levels of hell to improve.

Now returning to São Paulo for training camp Sadio is a far improved player. Sadio was asked about what his goals are this season:

“I want to lead São Paulo upto the SSL division 1 and be the best player in our campaign to do it.”

Exciting times ahead for São Paulo and Sadio as they are set to begin their debut season both as a team and together. With Sadio’s contract only running to the end of this season the Iberian must show something more to retain his coveted spot in the SSL.
