- Tiktaalik - 2022-09-03 Inter London have played 8 games so far this season. This seems like a good time to review how my player, Bob Divesinalot has been doing so far this season. It has been a season of development for Bob as he has been sent on loan from Sydney to Inter London in Division 2 to keep developing, and hopefully help Inter London win promotion back to Division One. So far it has been struggle for Inter London and promotion isn't going to happen this season as they are bottom of the table after 6 league games with only one win. Things are looking up recently however - having drawn a blank in 6 consecutive league and cup games to start the season, Inter London have scored three goals in their last two league games, winning one of them. Hopefully we can kick on (hah, soccer pun) and end the season on a high. For Bob Divesinalot personally it has been a good season. Across all eight league and cup games Bob is so far averaging the highest match score on Inter London at 7.11, and has won player of the match in a quarter of the games he has played. Diving deeper into the stats shows some more interesting aspects to his performance. He has made the least tackles attempted/90 of any Division 2 defender this season, and when he has attempted tackles his tackling success rate is worst in the division at a shade over 33%. He makes an average number of blocks/90, but leads the league substantially in clearances/90 at 15. The interpretation of this is unclear, but it may be Bob is not living up to his surname and is defending on his feet, beating attackers to the ball with his superior pace and physicality and not needing to make the tackle. And the bad tackling we'll definitely chalk down to small sample size. In the air Bob has been one of the 4 or 5 best defenders in Division 2 in terms of number of headers and headers won, supporting this thesis. So, in conclusion: a solid start for Bob personally and hopefully Inter London push on and end strong.
