I haven't really written much about Isabela Cortez. She's a Canadian winger, drafted in S4, who has had 4 pretty okay seasons in the SSL, I think.
As a rookie she had a 6.95 rating, 7 goals, and 6 assists in 24 appearances. Her passing and tackling were strong, I think, defense was good, and drew more fouls than she took. I think overall it was pretty good for a rookie.
Sophomore slump as they say. She only had a 6.77 rating in S5, getting worse than as a rookie, and also just 1 goal and 1 assist. I think with the league structure change, there was less games for Paris to play, and so Cortez only had 9 appearances that season.
In S6 that was still similar, as Cortez only played 11 matches this time. She did pick things up with 3 goals and 6 assists, and a rating of 7.04. Overall a much better season, and I'd say her best yet considering the volume compared to the number of games played.
In our current S7, Cortez has a 7.11 rating, which if it holds would be her best season yet. Only 2 goals and 1 assist so far, that could change as we're through just 7 games. It is however quite a bit below her pace.
That's a quick summary of her career, and while I don't know much about soccer stats, I think that's a pretty good trajectory for her right now. She may not be a superstar but she's a quality player.
