A Power Ranking of my MVP Front Runners

Franco Torres was a player taken in the last round of the S1 SSL Draft and has proven to probably be one of the most valuable picks of that whole draft. Through 7 Match Days he is leading the league in xG with a 5.82 xG. Additionally he’s 6th in Key Passes, 1st in goals with 9, and 4th in the league in dribbles. He’s been the best player on the front runner to win the league and he’s a huge part of why Cairo is likely to win the league. Right now Torres doesn’t have the MVP locked up but he’s the strong leader in my mind and it’s going to take some big performances to overcome that.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222857935876126/HollywoodEmote.jpg Benji Atreides (AM): Second in my power rankings is the Hollywood FC Attacking Midfielder. They’ve contributed significantly in goal scoring with 4 goals but their real contribution has been in their playmaking. Atreides leads the league in assists with 8 through 7 matchdays. That’s 3 more than 2nd place. Additionally they lead the league in key passes with 28, they lead the league in chances created with 12, and they are 2nd in the league in average rating behind only Franco Torres. While I still think that Franco Torres’ resume is stronger at this point in the season, Atreides is not that much farther behind. I think Atreides would have to have a really strong finish to the season to overcome Torres but with the SSL Cup upon us there are plenty of opportunities to catch up.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222858137186304/LondonEmote.jpg Jack O’Conner (ST): The striker for Inter London is probably the dark horse at the moment but stands to still be in the running. Inter London is 2nd in the league and O’Conner has lots of support around him that could help him rack up the goals. Through 7 matchdays he was second in the league in xG and 3rd in goals with 6. But in the 8th matchday he scored a hat trick against Football Club de Rio so he’ll be tied with Torres for the league lead in goals at 9. But for all the impressive goal scoring that O’Conner possesses, O’Conner does not have the playmaking of Torres or Atreides to overcome them in my mind for the MVP right now. But if O’Conner can finish the season with a really strong goal scoring output, maybe it won’t matter that he doesn’t have many key passes.
