Manager Appointments

As we announced last year, the league is set for an expansion for the upcoming season and we are now at a point where we can announce the new appointed Team Managers and the rules for the expansion draft. During that time we also saw some movement in the current teams as https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222857566752778/AthenaiEmote.jpg, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222858552442911/TokyoEmote.jpg, https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222857935876126/HollywoodEmote.jpg and https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222858137186304/LondonEmote.jpg saw their Managers in need of replacement for a variety of reasons.

The BoD has spent the last couple of days talking to each applicant about their plans and deliberated about each appointment. It was a tough decision as all applicants have shown strengths in many areas but at last we are ready to announce each of the new team Managers.

Spoiler (click to show)

The new manager for Hollywood FC starting immediately is @3lewsers aka TheZodiac.

The new manager for Tokyo S.C. starting immediately is @Graydonsanatomy.

Inter London and Athênai will still be managed by @frazzle14 and @Canadice respectively but on an interim basis, and anyone that is interested in managing can contact anyone of us in the BoD.

Expansion Managers

The two new appointments for the two yet unnamed teams are none other than...

We will now begin the process of discussing the details of each team with the new Manager and hope to have another announcement soon about that.

Expansion Draft Rules

The expansion draft is set to take place at the end of next week. There are some things that need to occur before that happens so we will be in discussions with the new and current Manager group about the specific details and dates.

The actual Expansion Draft will go as follows:
Expose/Protection Lists - All Managers of the current teams must submit a list to the BoD consisting of 6 players they want to expose for the draft. Out of these 6 players, 4 of them must have an Active status and 2 must have an Inactive status at the time of this announcement. If a current team has less than 2 Inactive players, they only have to expose the Active players requirement. Managers will be provided a list of all current statuses of their players.

Draft Process - The Expansion Draft will be conducted as a snake draft of 9 rounds where the team with the first pick is randomly selected.
- During the first six rounds, each Manager is allowed to select one Active player from every team.
- Each Manager Player needs to be selected in the first round and will be counted as the pick from that team.
- An Expansion Manager cannot make a second pick from the same team during these first 6 rounds.
- After the 6 rounds, each Expansion Manager will take 3 rounds picking Inactive players from each team, but the Expansion Managers in total cannot pick more than one player per team. This means that if one Expansion Manager has picked a player from https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222858552442911/TokyoEmote.jpg, the other may not pick a player from https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/905764360541073408/912222858552442911/TokyoEmote.jpg.
- If a team does not have any Inactive players exposed at this stage, the Expansion Managers will be allowed to choose one Active player.

At the end of this draft each Expansion team is filled with 9 players with a mix of Active and Inactive players and each current team will be rostering between 9 and 10 players each.

Waiver Order - The Waiver Order is defined by the reverse league standings of the previous season but since the two Expansion teams did not participate in the league, they will be given the first two order spots. The first place in the waiver order will be the team that did not pick first in the Expansion Draft.

If anyone has any questions about these two announcements, don't hesitate to ask!

On behalf of the BoD, Canadice.
