- Zoone16 - 2023-11-01 Overall, it’s been an interesting past week for Alessandro Del Pirlo. Initially struggling with the wing focused game in the SSL academy league, which included two losses to Medellin & Victoria respectively, Stockholm changed their formation and strategy to push more towards the centre. The move paid immediate dividends, with Del Pirlo able to use his talent, scoring a superb goal against Medellin. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to give Stockholm the win as they lost 2-1 in a tightly contested game but signs of progress are around and it’s only a matter of time for this team to propel forward in the standings. The biggest highlight of the last game was the Italian connection between Amore Delo and Alessandro Del Pirlo. It was clear even before that they had some good chemistry between them, with Delo often looking for his compatriot on the field. With the two further apart, the stretch passes have become an option, something that an attacking midfielder who can play as a shadow striker or false 9 can and will take advantage of at every given opportunity. “Yeah, it was a good game, but we lost. I would like to beat Atletico and Victoria next time we play them.” Said Del Pirlo after morning training. 208 words |
