Torres Talks About Struggles - r1c3bowl22 - 2024-04-07

As of this writing, Tokyo FC sits in the last position before relegation. What doesn't help is that newcomer Franco Torres has yet to score in his first five outings with the club. We managed to catch up with the striker to get his thoughts on the situation.

"I'm very frustrated. I came in here to hopefully win another championship before my career ends. Tokyo is a team, and city, I've always wanted to be at so it's very disappointing to me that things have kicked off like they have. I'm supposed to be the starting striker. I'm tasked with scoring goals. I've yet to score one in my time here. The team isn't doing well. Is that a coincidence? I think not. If I can get my shots in the net, then we could be doing a lot better. I don't even get many shots on goal. I have what, one per game? Maybe my time is coming to a close in the SSL. It's my 14th season and I've given it all I have to this point. I'm very tired but I still want to compete and do well. We'll see how things shape up."
