We are looking to add at least three (3) people to our pool of commentators to distribute the weekly workload more. As a commentator you are expected to commentate at least one matchday per week. Commentary is added after the games are recorded by the simmer and before the video is uploaded to Youtube. The approximate timeslots for commentary are (all listed times use Pacific timezone, i.e. the forum clock):
If you would like to apply for the position or have any questions, please message me on the forum or on Discord (jessturtles). You may also message any other BoD member. As part of your application we would like it to include at least the following points: Code: Player Name: Job pay is 6 capped TPE per week + $2.5 million per season. The deadline for applications is May 22nd. RE: HIRING: Commentators - woog - 2024-05-14 Can we get a bit more information on the process added to the job post, please? The simmer records the video, then the commentator records audio… and then magic happens. What are the technical requirements to do the audio recording? Does it go back to the simmer or another person to combine audio and video together before uploading to YouTube? RE: HIRING: Commentators - Canadice - 2024-05-14 The video gets uploaded to a shared Google Drive folder and then the scheduled commentator(s) records the audio via a voice channel in Discord using a bot called Craig. The commentator then sends the link to the recorded Craig audio to the post-producer (see separate role) who mixes the audio and video together. |
