HIRING: Board of Directors and BoD Interns starting S17 - JR95 - 2024-09-16

Board of Directors

We are looking for additional members of the BoD. We are also looking for interns for the BoD.

The Board of Directors is, alongside the Commissioner, responsible for the day-to-day activities and long term development of the league as a whole as well as hiring department heads for the different SSL departments. A BoD member is expected to pursue the betterment of the league over any individual team or user.

The league organization is structured as follows:

Examples of day-to-day upkeep of the SSL include:

approving new players,
updating matchday results,
organizing discussions about rule changes,
hiring people for open positions,
helping out other departments when needed,
supervising organizations and individuals in relation to the Rulebook

BoD Intern

Board Interns are given a lighter and more specific individual workload than full Board Members (for example, handling player approvals or inputting the results of the games in our schedule) with the opportunity to take on more work as necessary/desired and will have the opportunity to get a taste of internal Board discussions. Interns will serve a one-season term. The intern position is intended for users without significant league experience to gain that experience and determine whether Board work is something that interests them long-term (likewise, if you apply for a Board Member position but we feel you may be short on experience, we may offer you an intern position instead).

Payment

Pay for a BoD Member is 6 capped TPE per week and $3.5 million per season.
Pay for a BoD Intern is 6 capped TPE per week and $2.5 million per season.

Please also include in your application one or some of the areas of the day-to-day upkeep you feel your skill set would be best put to use.
