The hardest part about Clara's career - Tsunny - 2024-10-06

If someone were to ask Clara what was the hardest part about her career thus far she would almost certainly mention being Montreal's captain. In all honesty, she never expected to be a captain. Sure she had the traits to be good at it, but she always preferred to do her job and do it well. And if she can motivate others with her work ethic then that's only a bonus on top of making herself a better athlete. But then she was named as Montreal's captain, which did surprise her quite a lot. Even if she did not show it then, she was very surprised. But at the same time, she was also very honored because it meant her team had trust in her to do well. As such she could not let them down. So she got to work on being the best captain she could be. One of the main things she struggled with was the pre-game talk. Until now she was only listening to others talking before a game and from the outside, it looked easy. From the inside? Far from it. She did not just have to make sense but she also had to be motivational. Luckily she had a great example before her, Wang Zhihao. The previous captain of Montreal, who was also a great friend of hers. Truth be told most of the time she just thought back about how Wang did things and she tried to follow his lead while also putting her own twist on it. And so far it seems to be working as she has been elected for a second time.
