Injuries and their risks - SpiNz001 - 2024-11-03

The league is going strong as November begins. All respective teams are fighting hard to be the best of the best and everyone’s performance shows it. From meticulous low scoring games to high scoring surprises, each are equally exciting. União São Paulo has had both types of games happen and both the offense and defense continue to train to be ready for any situation. Players can be fast, nimble, or aggressive in games, however, this does not come without risk. Like any sport out there, injuries are one of the most nerve racking and disruptive components of high stake matches. Any injury, whether mild or serious, can put someone out of action for games on end, something that no team can afford to have happen. Nerve de Groot and the offensive lineup were training on a freshly built turf field when asked about being at risk for injuries. De Groot comments, “I have had injuries where I was unable to play for days and even weeks. Each kind of injury carries the risk of permanent and live altering damage to one’s body. However, I am confident in our ability to avoid such risks and come back on top when any of us get knocked down.”
