Zoe Clarke - A Threat? - SleepyPlayz - 2024-11-11 While the athletic generation of players doesn't have too little talent to go around, the Clarke brothers, Sam and Jackson Clarke, both retired with relatively fulfilling careers, some say Jackson Clarke’s career as one of the first SSL players definitely overtook Sam Clarke’s journeyman career. Since Jackson’s career ended with two SSL championships, most point to him as someone who’s career was more fulfilling compared to Sam’s, though others often point to Sam’s SBA career as “a more competitive disadvantage compared to the SSL.” The SSL, similar to many sports, was formed off of the interest and backs of many who were into the sport heavily, and Jackson Clarke just so happened to be one of the players who most impacted the SSL a second season member. While both men had a fantastic career in their own rights, it’s time for the next generation of the Clarke family to take over in the soccer department. Zoe Clarke's a new member in the lineage of the Clarke family, though she’s not shy about making a name for herself, as she won an Academy championship with Stockholm IK in the SSL’s largest draft class since the Academy’s inception. She shares a familiarity in name with which most older SSL fans can attach themselves which is both an upside and a downside. After Jackson’s first cup win in the 4th season of the SSL, Catalunya found themselves a winning formula with Budget Busquets, the former GM and player for Catalunya, making headlines. There was no shortage of hype surrounding the franchise for the next season, though the franchise didn’t go on to win an SSL cup again until season 7. Jackson Clarke’s career ended with two championships and a lot of hype surrounding the Clarke Talent Agency which he publicly advertised upon his exit from the league. There was no shortage of talk about Clarke and much of the inaugural season players and any player who entered between S1 and S4. In the words of those who talked about them, “they brought the league to where it is today, as they were the ones who first played and popularized the sport for many.” Soccer was already popular, and there was no shortage of those in need of a soccer league, though the SSL does have to give credit to the many people who found themselves pushing for those to watch their games for the league. Zoe ties into the Clarke family nicely; while Jackson won two SSL cups, Zoe might be on track to winning more. She won the Academy cup with Stockholm and the hype surrounding the girl has only grown since then. Many have their eyes on her as she proceeds into the SSL, though many have their doubts and concerns surrounding her, since the league has undoubtedly changed since the days of Jackson Clarke. She may not make a name for herself and will fade out with time, never spoken about unless it’s to talk about failed SSL players. While I have to agree with them, I’m sure that, at some point in her SSL career based only on what we just saw, she is able to prove everyone wrong, where she wins more SSL cups than her father.
