Budget Xavi who everyone was excited to see after being taken by his hometown club, Catalunya, in the SSL S18 Draft. Supporters were overjoyed and hopeful for the prospect of a better future. Budget Xavi, having spent his entire life around the club, was finally able to achieve his childhood dream of playing for his father's old club. That is when tragedy unfortunately hit the promising wunderkind. During a training session following his cameo debut in a preseason friendly, Budget Xavi suffered a rare double ACL injury and many are worried that it may potentially be a career-ending injury. Many at the club are both shocked and devastated whilst the supporters have taken this as a bad omen for the future of the club.
Meanwhile, in completely unrelated news, C.F. Catalunya have found, what many online are calling a wunderkind, Brazilian winger and striker, Joga Bonito. Joga Bonito, having grown up playing in the streets of Santos, São Paulo, has a flair that has lacked in Catalunya's attacking front. Joga Bonito is still a very raw player with a lot to learn, but many think he possesses an abundance of talent that if develop properly could see one of the next exciting players to eventually lead the SSL. Many see Catalunya's tiki-taka style helping rein in the young talent whilst hoping that his flair can help unlock what has been a bit of a flat attack early on in the preseason.
