Records The League (S1-S4) - FuriousChicken - 2024-12-08
I thought, some people might be interested in the SSL records set during the time of the SSL. However looking at how different the league was throughout its iterations I have decided to split the records into 5 groups, these being The League (S1-S4), D1/D2 (separate S5-S11), and Major/Minor (separate S12-S17 (and still ongoing)).
So let’s first look at the records that were set at the end of The League (S1-S4), quick little reminder that during this period for (nearly?) every season 2 teams got added, which means 4 more games for each team. First off we have the most points, set in S4 by Tokyo S.C. with 47 points, The fewest points in a season meanwhile was set in S3 by Cairo City with 9 points. Tokyo S.C. also had the most league wins in S4 with 15 wins in total, while Cairo City with 2 wins had the fewest league wins. Another bad records was set in S4 by Montréal United having the most league defeats with 15, while Cairo City in S1, and Hollywood FC in S2 had the least defeats with 2 each. Now onto the draws were in S2 we see CF Catalunya with 7 draws being the record for draws during this period. Sydney City then had the most goals with 49 in S4, while the fewest goals were done in S1 by Tokyo S.C. with 10 goals. Most goals conceded meanwhile was a record held by Montréal United on 61 in S4, while the fewest was done in S2 by Athenai on 12. Last but not least is the worst team discipline, being taken by Hollywood FC in S3 with 43 yellows, and 2 reds.
The biggest win, biggest loss, and highest scoring match during this time was done straight away in S1MD1 were Hollywood FC beat FC Rio with 8-2, most goals by a player in 1 match was done by 2 different players, once in S4MD2 by Owen Forty-Four scoring 4 in the Buenos Aires 1-6 Sydney City match, the other player with 4 goals in 1 match was Connor Azpilicueta with 4 goals in the S4MD9 match which ended in a Cairo 6-1 Montréal scoreline.
Most assists is a 5-way tie, as there were only ever 3 assists by the same player in a single match. 2 of these are from Benji Atreides once in S1MD1 on the Hollywood 8-2 Rio game, the other in S1MD3 in the Hollywood 4-0 Tokyo game. Next one was Tim Possible in S3MD4 in the Sydney 5-0 Buenos Aires match, then we got Skoomina Hulk a Votto in the Sydney 5-1 Montréal match in S3MD10, and then in S4MD8 we had Liang Kuai playing for London in the Paris 4-3 London game.
Next up the quickest goal in these 4 seasons goes to K Clamence playing for Inter London, scoring the 1-0 in the 15th second in the London 1-6 Catalunya defeat. Last we have the quickest red card, which goes to Siilver Druid playing for Montréal and getting a red in the 4:54 minute on S3MD4 in a game which ended Cairo 3-1 Montréal.
Now onto the streaks, with the biggest winstreak going to Hollywood FC with 8 wins in a row between S2MD5 and S2MD12, then most draws in a row goes to CF Catalunya with 4 draws in a row between S2MD5, and S2MD8. Next up most losses in a row this one going to Cairo City with 8 losses in a row between S3MD8, and S3MD15. Then we have most matches without losing, this being 12 by Tokyo S.C. between S4MD2 and S4MD13, while finally Cairo got the most matches without winning in a row with 11 matches without a win between S3MD5 and S3MD15.
