Millwall awaits the draft - stevo - 2025-01-12 With the SSL draft just being one week away, defensive midfielder Cameron Millwall is slowly but surely getting more anxious before the big event. He's had a solid Academy season with Stockholm IK, despite his team finishing in third place after closing the season on a brutal 5-0 thrashing handed to them by Sydney. Across his draft class, he's sitting sixth in total TPE (only one shy of his positional rival Howie Dewitt) which gives him a solid case going into the draft. Millwall has shown that he can and will develop at a steady pace going forward. The German recorded a goal and 5 assists in 13 appearances. His 13 key tackles were good enough for a tied second place overall in the Academy. With 914 successful passes, he earned another runner-up place in the Academy, this time behind his teammate Aart de Trella. While he's not an overly flashy player, Millwall's Academy season indicates that he will be around for a long time. His average match rating points to the fact that he was consistently within the top players of this draft class. He may not be superstar material, but very likely will be a good role player for a long time. |
