Hercule Hefeweizen Announces Free Agency - Wiggli - 2025-01-13
“First and foremost,” Hercule begins in his customarily difficult to pin down Belgian accent, “I would like to thank the fine folks of Catalunya.” Hefeweizen has enjoyed the opportunities afforded him by the team that drafted him second overall a few seasons ago. “But, you zee, it has come time to turn the page.” The tall Belgian never made much effort to hide his bookish manner. “I look forward to the next chapter of my development.”
Hefeweizen is a hard working defensive midfielder, early in the coming season he will be able to further increase his versatility becoming natural in either the CB or LD position as well and is willing to work with prospective teams to find the best fit between his available positions.
He plans to continue investing in his personal development maintaining the trajectory that has seen him stay near the top of his class for TPE, but is not interested in taking on more duties within the organization. Life is getting more complicated for the footballer and while he will stay vigilant to any updates he won’t be able to take such an active role in administrative type duties.
While he does value a team that can compete for championships, as well as receiving a competitive salary to help reinvest in his skills, he has no strong guidelines on either of those fronts. More than anything he is looking for a team that will let him fill the role he envisions. A press resistant ball playing defender, or support minded defensive midfielder. His main goal is being given the freedom to break the first line of defense starting an attack, but having the discipline to mostly stay back and provide a solid back line.
