Quick Interview with Zoe Clarke - SleepyPlayz - 2025-01-23

-- Microphone: On --

Montreal's defensive expert, Zoe Clarke, shared with MTV today, a "momentous occasion", as she used to skip the interviews entirely throughout her entire first year in the SSL. Now that she is on her second, showing signs of healing from her grief and doubt, she can move forward.

-- Camera: Ready--

Seeing the progress with Zoe Clarke after the passing of her father, Jackson Clarke, companies figured she would take up the opportunity to interview them. Unlike what they expected, Zoe decided to interview with a smaller, lesser known company instead of one of the bigger companies who often did reports on players. She'd gotten slightly dressed up with her hair up in a messy bun, she still looked like a mess. The almost 18-year old Zoe strutted into the studio. While the smaller company could cost her a little more reputation in the SSL, when she's already starting off the SSL with a win in the academy, she surely has at least some fame around her. As she entered the studio, the lights swiveled from the show's host onto her. She was effectively blinded for a second, cameras pointed towards her.

- "Marcus Meyers here, sitting across the table with rooki- sorry, sophomore player Zoe Clarke, who's just finished her rookie season. While she may look a mess, she's still just in time for our interview. Nothing I wasn't expecting, of course. Now, Zoe. You're here because we invited you. Our main concern is: how do you feel about Montreal? Not just the team, but the city and the culture."

~ "Hm... I'd argue that there's a lot of things to like, but also dislike about this place. Of course it's just me, since one of the things I dislike is speaking French since I can't do that, but I am learning. That might trigger a response, but I don't mind. Next up though, I love the team. The manager of SFV checks in with us regularly and makes us at least feel like we're wanted even if we aren't. I don't think any of us are outright not wanted ,but that is a discussion for another time."

- "And next up, what are you planning to become in the future?"

~ "The greatest. I want to surpass my father and become even better than someone who gave up after being forced to take care of a child. To be fair, he never officially gave up, he just slowed down showing up to practice I heard. Something about being a father does that, I guess."

- "Thank you for your time. I'm sure fans in Montreal are excited to see you back in action."
