GRADED: Post-match interview Juozas Kupinas MD6 - Jubka - 2025-02-28

Interviewer: Hello everyone! We just witnessed the Victoria Falls Eagles beat Stockholm IK with a score of 2-1. I'm joined by right midfielder from the Eagles, Juozas Kupinas. Juozas, how do you feel this match went?

Kupinas: I think it went very well. The scoreline might not reflect it fully but I feel like we were the strongest team today by a big margin. We dominated possession and with the amount of chances we created the scoreline should've been higher in our favor.

Interviewer: What do you think is the reason that you guys played so well today?

Kupinas: The coach has made quite some changes to how we wanted to approach the match. We noticed in previous matches that Jay-Jay and Bartholomew-James barely got a hold of the ball, let alone shooting chances. We've decided to be more patient in possession and take our time for creating proper chances. Also giving Janko a bit more of a playmaking role instead of a free roaming attacking role has been very good today. We played more like a team today compared to the other matches this season.

Interviewer: And how do you feel you played personally today?

Kupinas: I think I did alright today. I've created some decent chances with crosses and even had a nice dribble towards the box but unfortunately the shot didn't go in. I struggled with the corner taking today though. Corners have been a good weapon for us this season, but it seems Stockholm IK really did their homework because they completely negated all the possible danger from them today. Credits to them for that.

Interviewer: Next match for you guys is gonna be PS Jakarta who have been struggling a lot thus far. How do you feel about that matchup?

Kupinas: I think it's gonna be a difficult match. Jakarta will be extra motivated since they don't want to end the first half of the season on zero points so they'll give it everything they got. That being said, I would still consider us the favorite even though we've not won an away match yet this season. We hope to end that streak badly and will work hard for that.

Interviewer: Best of luck to you in the next match then and enjoy your victory today. Thank you for your time Juozas.

Kupinas: Thanks!
