Upon the end of the season once Carolien Miedema took the first plane back to the Netherland to enjoy the off season and work out by herself while still fulfilling media obligations for Catalunya and for the Benelux national team. The season ended in disappointed for Carolien personally feeling like she underperformed and didn't meet her own standards for herself. Starting training after a few days of rest, Miedema got right into adding more muscle to her body and working on her passing, corning taking and finishing ability. Carolien also started seeing a sports psychologist to improve her mentals and get her mentally prepared for for the up coming season. Carolien knowing this is a contract year knows she needs to preform well to get any hope of getting a contract she deserves. During one of her media days she was asked how it she feels about Catalunya will do in the draft, Carolien responded with quote "I hope we get the players we need, I'm more focused on myself this off season than I am the organization. I want to get better myself to be able to support the club like they expect of me." When asked how she'll feel if Catalunya drafts her replacement Miedema just said no comment.
