Headed into week eleven, Bernardo Fry was sick... really sick. Not the kind of sick that you get from a bad egg salad sandwich in a truck stop, but the kind of sick that leaves you wondering if you should just eat the coffee grounds and skip the middle man in the process. He informed management about his basic unworthiness, and therefore he was put into the starting lineup to get the opponents sick during the first half. Wiping off the bazooka barf, Fry headed out against Romana. This is going to be a tough one.
A well worked passing play by Romana put them up 1-0, while Fry was puking in the center circle.
Nelson stole the pigskin and fired off a solid cross, but Qartista was decided to be offside in a quantum measurement - they changed the result by checking.
Finally in the 31st minute, Fry touched the ball and set Nelson up for a rocket of a shot which broke several ribs of a Romana defender.
At least I'm not the only one puking on the field now, thought Fry.
Eyes glazed over with sickness, Fry wandered around the field. Attack after attack flew by the Romana goalkeeper, but none landed in the net. Fry collapsed and was dragged off the field at the end of the half.
Emerson put in a second goal for Romana and was promptly joined by Poggio for a third.
A lunatic backpass by Pedrillo let Bonito claw back a goal. Nelson put in a second goal, but time had run out before a third was possible.
