Brodie James Post-Match Interview after winning PoTM - Nion - 2025-07-09
Interviewer: “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here in the pitch right now, with your Player of The Match, Brodie James! Now, James, your team came into this pitch today, you got that 3 nil win. Talk to me about what your plan was in order to get this win.”
Brodie James: “Uh, I feel like our main thing that we did that was that we were a lot more confident with each other, we knew how we would play, our chemistry was strong and will be strong, and, yeah, we were a lot more confident.”
Interviewer: “A lot more confident he says! Now, you got that PoTM for a reason. You scored two goals that match, one of them being a direct free-kick once again. What were your thoughts before you scored that free kick.”
Brodie James: “Aw man, I just thought to myself, ‘Mane, the first attempt was so nice, I had to do it twice.’ So, I was confident about it. Like I said before, I never stopped believing.”
Interviewer: “NEVER STOPPED BELIEVING! Now, I want you to tell us about how you feel about playing with North Shore United, and what was the pressure like for you at the beginning of the season.”
Brodie James: “Yeah, I’m really happy to be playing for North Shore, it’s a whole new journey for me, so, there’ll obviously be some stuff that I need to work on, but, I feel like a lot of people just tend to quickly forget about what all of our players are capable of, and it’s kinda annoying seeing it. You know how after one match, people just start being jerks about it, but then they forget about how good we’ve been for the past year, and throughout our whole careers really. So, we don’t really listen to that nonsense, we just turn up, and we play.”
Interviewer: “Brodie, what do have to say to all the fans here in Mata-Utu, who have supported your team since day 1?”
Brodie James: “Shout out to all the fans, you guys are electric in these matches, and I hope that you keep this intensity up.”
Interviewer: “YOU HEARD IT FROM THE THUNDER FROM DOWN UNDER! That’s gonna do it for us in the main stage! Commentators, take us away!”
