Snor Lax's Ranking of the Minor League Cities (Based on Ice Cream) - GHamss - 2025-07-23

There is no denying that Snor Lax is a foodie. In fact food is the most important part of his life. All he does is eat, sleep, play some soccer and eat some more. When he joined the minor league he was excited to travel around to different parts of the world to try various foods.

There is no food like ice cream. It is Lax’s favourite so it didn’t take long for him to start learning about the top places to go when on the road.

The other thing to know about Snor Lax is knowing that they don’t love to walk much….. Hence why he is a goalkeeper. This is Snor Lax’s favorite cities to visit in the minor league based on the number of ice cream shops within walking distance (1km) of the stadium.

Now, the stadiums used by the SSL clubs are not real stadiums so I picked stadiums within the cities that host our great teams.

10.  (least favourite) Cairo City
Snor Lax’s least favourite city to visit is Cairo. Home to Cairo City, the team plays at the Tomb of Doom (Cairo International Stadium). There are occasionally the odd vendor here or there selling ice cream but there isn’t one within walking distance. The closest ice cream shop is a Baskin BR Robins 1.4km away

9. AS Paris
Paris is known for many culinary items but ice cream may not be one! Not for Snor LAx anyway as The Paris stadium, Stade de Reves (Parc des Princes). In this area, there is one… JUST ONE ice cream shop! At 950m away, Enzo & Lily is at the limit of walking distance

8.Montreal United
Another city with only one ice cream shop within 1km is Montreal. This one beats Paris out as the ice cream shop, Hoche Glace, is 650m away.

7.  Rapid Magyar SC
Although his favorite overall city, this one lacks close ice cream shops nearby the stadium. With just one shop at 570m, izRoll delivers to the stadium on game days for Snor Lax’s half time snacks.

6. Seoul MFC
We’re levelling up! Seoul MFC is the first team to have 2 TWO!!!! Ice cream shops within 1km. With 배스킨라빈스 마포성산점 at 850m and a Baskin Robbins at 915m, this is a step up. Options! For the first time.

5. Athenai F.C.
With three ice cream shops, Athenai F.C is the next step up. We are starting to get into serious business. Kayak Ice Cream Store is closest at sub 500m, followed by «Παράδοση» Γαλακτοπωλείο Παπακώστα and then ΦΟΥΡΝΟΣ ΒΕΝΕΤΗ 1948 - ΦΙΛΟΘΕΗ at 850m. With three choices when in Athens, Snor Lax gets them all!

4. North Shore United
Another increase when we go into the top 4. Over in New Zealand, we have 4 ice cream shops within 1km of the arena, The Beach (Eden Park). Although we have close to a handful of shops, they are all pretty far away. The closet is 540m.

3. North Shore United
Getting into the top 3, we see a big shift in the ice cream culture! Going from three shops in Athens, we see 5 shops in London. Most of these aren’t neccessarily dedicated ice cream shops but rather “Dessert shop”. Not sure what that is but they certainly serve ice cream and that’s all that matters! The closest is 100m away from the stadium. A stumble away!

2. F.C Kaapstad
Not only does F.C Kaapstad have lots of ice cream shops, they look delicious! A real step up here. Around Nelson Mandela Stadium (DHL Stadium) we have six ice cream shops! Not only that but the stadium is on the shore of the ocean! All around, a great spot. That’s why it’s so high on Snor Lax’s list!

1. Krung Thep FC
There’s only one team left and they are atop of Snor Lax’s ice cream list for one reason and one reason only. They have EIGHT ice cream shops within 1km of The Mango Patch (Rajamangala National Stadium). Not only are there 8 within 1km but there are 3 within 500m. All around a great spot to enjoy a cold scoop.

All around, Snor Lax is pretty pleased with the ice cream selection around the league. But there’s always room to improve! Looking at you Cairo….

This is the type of content I've been looking for. Allie loves her Casteliacones and would love to join Lax on some trips
