Academy Shooter - jacobcarson877 - 2025-09-09 Kaspars should be considered in the league Annals as an (Academy) Goal Scorer. It happened like this: Kaspars ran himself around in circles, for about 10km or so, really working up a sweat, and really tiring himself out. He made some passes, short ones, back and forth, just to keep himself focused and not going insane. It took him an hour or so to work up the courage to risk a shot. Many consider him to be a defensive midfielder, really more of a glorified center defender than anything else. This would come to be his first real attempt to pretend to be involved with the offense. In fact, nobody saw it coming, that’s how little he had historically contributed. He’s a runner, he’s a track star. He would be soon known as a shooter. He was running, as he does, when suddenly he ran, not just in a circle, but towards the opposition’s net. He hesitated, circled around once or twice, shaking and sweating in anticipation. All eyes were on him in this crucial moment. He raised his foot, the wrong one at first, and then the right one, and proceeded to whiff entirely. Practice shot is what he would tell the press later. The second one would ring off a defender’s shin and roll right back, gently, and begging to be buried. And that it was, a glorious shot, with a classic fpoing, the sound of boot on ball, a ding from the post, and the roar of the crowd. Stockholm would go up by one, and then another a few minutes later, the eyes off one goal-scorer, and onto the next. It may not be remembered, but it happened. RE: Academy Shooter - Matt Turk - 2025-10-07 Sounds like a great goal. Hope you'll get many more! Media Grade 3/5 |
