Impatience as Payoff - jacobcarson877 - 2025-09-09

The countdown to October 26th is on! I appreciate getting to be in games, and I’ve been enjoying getting some screentime in the Academy, but I’m already quite excited to make my mark on a real squad. I’ve always loved the minors/majors affiliation idea, and it doesn’t happen often in sim leagues anymore, just because there doesn’t tend to be stable rosters in both tiers, but I want to enjoy that while I can. Being able to build your way through a club, earn your minutes, and make a mark on a franchise from the ground up is super enticing for me. I joined at what seems to be an “opportune” time, being right at the beginning of a draft class, so I’ll have lots of time to marinade in time for the draft, but I also want the draft to just happen already. It’s a classic conundrum, and I’ll have to find other things to do outside of sit and watch the paint dry. If that means putting out a million articles to get my thoughts out, I suppose that’s just what I’ll do. It’ll all add up in time, and my bank account will appreciate my patience, or I guess in this case, my lack thereof.
