Brodie James Post-Match Interview after the upset against MAG - Nion - 2025-10-12
Interviewer: “Alright, James, your team's form doesn’t look 100% at the moment, but you came into Budapest, Hungary to verse a team that is a title contender, and you committed an upset beating them 5-2. Talk to me about your preparations and what mentality y’all had before the game.”
Brodie James: “Yeah, I knew we weren’t doing so well at the time, we knew what we were doing wrong, but I let our team know that it doesn’t matter even if we’re in the bottom of the ladder, we still gotta come in with confidence and perform up to 110%, and commit to an upset, because we knew what Rapid Magyar were capable of, and so, we had to come in and get the dub.”
Interviewer: "Good man. Now, the player stats for the SSL came out about a few days ago, and at the moment, you are a contender for the golden boot, and a contender for the Minors Team of The Season. How does that feel going from 4 goals to a whole lot more?"
Brodie James: "Oh mate, that actually feels really good. Obviously, when I first came into the SSL on my Academy season, I didn't expect to be the one who scores all the goals for my team, one of my goals was to get at least one goal per season, and this season I'm scoring a lot more than what I've expected. So, yeah, I'm really happy, this has given me a lot of confidence."
Interviewer: "Lovely, now, as always, what have you got to say to your fans that has cheered you on in the capital city of Hungary?"
Brodie James: "Shout out to all the fans of North Shore. You guys have been amazing, even if we lose or were losing, you still come in and make the Minors electric. You overtook the Rapid Magyar fans, you overtook the UK fans, let's overtake more fans this season! LET'S GET IT!"
Interviewer: "Thank you, James."
